  1. Welcome and mine is a 99 please. Looking forward to seeing you and what a darn good idea to stock bread eggs Milk etc. Let us hope we have a really good summer. M
  2. When you get back can you let us know what facilities are on board this day boat please. I know that Ludham Bridge's equivalent day boats are furnished to high level with everything you should need and I mean everything for a very reasonable price.
  3. Someone mentioned ASAP Supplies. I received an email from them today showing their latest gizmos and gadgets. http://www.asap-supplies.com/
  4. Another plus for visiting Beccles Harbour is that over the bridge at Hippersons you can hire some extremely smart day boats. If your boat is far too high to get under the old bridge then this is an option. A trip to the Locks Pub for the afternoon as an idea.
  5. Yes ASAP are in Beccles but we live in nearby Worlingham and it is further on than us. It would be rather a stretch of anyone's imagination to walk to ASAP. They are up on the Ellough Estate which is a trading estate near to Worlingham rather than little old Beccles. They dont always stock everything and you could ring them and get a part in and get a cab I suppose if you were stuck on your boat. M
  6. Regards items for your boat. Depends on what you want. Under the town bridge heading towards the Lido there is an outboard marine place that would deal with smaller items but if you require normal chandlery items there is no such place in Beccles. You would have to go to Oulton Broad to Jeckells. There is of course a couple of boat yards Hippersons that would assist if they possibly could or indeed just past the Lido on the Suffolk side is Galleon Marine who again would help in anyway they could. Brian
  7. Re the Lido, we have always prepaid at Beccles Harbour as you are supposed to do , and as the sign clearly states. Personally I think the Lido pontoon should a free 24 hour mooring anyway. Crumpets it will get soon that all you do down Sarf is pay pay pay. Unfortunately , that being the case it will not attract hirers. We need hirers to visit Beccles please. We have a lovely Town and as I have said before it does not disappoint., M
  8. There was a Bridgecraft boat moored there today and it looked as if they had 'gone off' for the day. It was the only boat there. I wonder if the Ranger had given him a ear wigging when he returned as he went up the Waveney like a bat out of hell. Is it worth it for £8 or whatever it is to moor in the harbour? M
  9. When all else fails read the instructions!!
  10. For some reason I cannot attach the photo.
  11. Is this Belmore sitting there all unloved in the centre of the photo?
  12. How about writing a book Robin of your tales. I am sure it would be a best seller and something we would keep on the boat to read. I was thinking if you did it would help pay for your trips. I also agree a special area for these blogs would be a very good idea. I can read them over and over again because they are so relevant to us all. M
  13. Have you made Ebay aware of this at all? M
  14. Thank you so much I will have a look see. M
  15. Oh dear well beyond me I am afraid so I will just enjoy other folks snaps. M
  16. Come on then how did you do it please. It used to be quite straight forward. Thank you. M
  17. If you look at the Norfolk Live Web cam it is showing the pontoon very clearly. I have look to post a pic of this to help but I cannot see how you attach a photo now.
  18. Can I just ask , why are the video clips coming up as "this clip is private". Do we have to sign the pledge to have a look see? M
  19. I would have thought that having some where designated to lower your mast was a very good idea, coupled with the fact that very high boats now have a bolt hole to head for. I am pleased it does say 24 hr mooring only. We need all the trade we can bring to Beccles please, Lovely town and never disappoints.
  20. You are right there always used to be quite a high and very nice large boat always moored there at one time. We rather gathered it didn't want to pay a mooring fee like everyone else. There doesn't appear to be a restriction on that sign as to how long you can stay. Rather open to abuse.
