Just managed to catch up with you Howard. You do get about and well done for doing so. It has given us some heart for heading South next May it really has. Another lovely day or as they say in Norfolk 'Turned Out Nice Again'.

I am assuming you have gone by boat this time to the Locks pub. We intend doing this next year at this time. Long days help.

I guess you are staying Up North this time Howard? Wish I had looked at the web cam at HW earlier. We went over to Reedham on the Ferry this morning Coming back we were accompanied by umpteen cyclists all with their gear on. The Ferry Man was telling us that later in the month they have 100 booked to cross on The Ferry. More energy than us. They must have the same diet as these paddle boarders.

Yes this happened to me coming back from Oulton Broad, I could hear the tones going and on a good stretch (no bends and we have a few) I pulled over the car coming the other way did the same , but lupin behind me , been up close to my car all the way decided he was pulling out and not having of it , when the ambulance came flying past and nearly finished him off , his reaction was to pull back in pronto presto and after that calmed down completely and kept his distance.

Yes Riverside Cottages whose web cam seems to be looking at properties more than the river on one of its cameras. They are usually pretty good at correcting it when it is affected by high winds etc.

Well said Gracie. I admire these Paddle Boarders that take on a feat as this was, my God they must have some stamina to keep going all that way. Crumbs to even stand up on one would be enough , let alone paddle all the way to Potter Heigham and beyond. I am just glad all went well and it was safe for everyone. I just dont see what other day of the week or time it would have been advisable. My only hope is that if this event is to happen in the future that it is advertised weeks before so all concerned are aware.

Unfortunately our beloved Broads are being promoted as Butlins on the Water. Everyone on the water that day will be careful and let us hope it all proceeds without any problems. I suppose it could have been a worse time to set off , Saturday mornings are usually quieter once everyone has got back to their yard. May be a good idea for Richardsons to warn their customers to avoid being late back on that particular Saturday morning. I am thinking of those returning their boats at 9.30. On the other hand customers leaving Herby Woods early might have a bit of a shock.

My other half keeps on about El Nino coming and with it a heat wave. I am sure he must have been looking at the weather for Mauritius.
