  1. Hi,Frank, nice to see someone actually putting in groundbait before fishing to try and tempt the fish to eat instead just throwing in the maggot on the end of a hook like some people seem to do, with not checking the depths etc.no wonder some people don't catch much.By the way what is artificial maggots?

Hi,Colin, i think i got your name right i was moored next door to you in Tot Tyme a bounty 37,nice to meet you all and a fab night was had by all in the bell Inn salhouse.good food/drinks and quiz night was interesting.there was brian, roy & di,me and olive, simon, jonzo and lou, john(hockham admiral)colin and martin(goodall)and a nice touch was the pub owners picked us up at the carpark salhouse and back when the rain came in sideways and the WIND!! slept well that night, must be all the fresh air.one word of warning touched the bottom at salhouse less than 3 feet deep.

  17. Looks like a lot of work to me even if it was free,i have too many hobbies at the mo to even try to do it up.
  18. Hopefully Julz we will be back 2 days after the meet, bad timing that.
  19. Seen plenty of people fishing from boats and the banks but not many seem to be catching anything, but i think that is more down to not preparing properly. Baiting the swim, not the right tackle setup or bait etc CAN make a BIG difference.some people seem to think that you just stick a few maggots on a hook and Bingo a fish appears, does not work like that hence one of the reasons why they don't catch big fish another reason is due to the recent hot weather, fish get lethargic and dozy when the water is warmer and eat less.I always favour fishing in the very early morning or later at night.
  20. Sorry Olive and I can't make it Julz as we will be on Holiday, would loved to have come, but if this swine flu escalates to Airports and they stop people flying then we will be there.
  21. Off topic jonny, remember the forecast mid august temperature will be 40C !! yes, don't forget your suncream. Paint you could spend a fortune in the marine shops or go in Roys DIY and get some gloss, probably does the same job but cheaper, but don't quote me on that.
  22. Cracking story geoff, anymore to drool over, must be.
