  1. Have to mention this picture Bill,It marked my first time on the Broads. The family stayed in it (Dutch Tutch) was its name in 1958 i was 12 and loved it.I slept in the little shed next to it. It used to be a helter skelter off of Yarmouth beach i believe.great pics Bill..
  2. I should imagine it needs to be matched wayne, someone on here will be able to tell you the reasons.i've seen them displays b----y big.
  3. Here is a great resizer tool i found today, hope it works for you. http://www.glorylogic.com/
  4. Well done adam and suzanne,i know the feeling when i went up on the plane in my Sealine for the first time with my new boat bit scary but when you have done it once or twice it does get better.
  5. Right Jimbo you can do mine next if yours decides to work..
  6. Hi,Mark, Have you found out what the cost of a stainless tank would be it would be good to put in road diesel (cleaner burning) If i put in a seperate tank it would be easy as next to the main tank is a space for a new tank of about 10 gallons size with the pipe and pump next to it to reconnect.
  7. Hi,Pete, fellow bounty owner here, I have a 3 year old (i think) Webo 3.5KW saw one the same at the boat show and was told as you say to start up full blast then turn it down to a lower temp to suit.,not a problem so far. it is not automaticly done if doors and windows are opened i just have an on/off switch. You said you fitted 'thinsulate sleeving' is that the webo's own make and is it expensive also is it easy to put on?
  8. Where did you get the Hep20 fittings from Mark?
  9. Glad to here the books are of some help to you Mark,we need all we can get sometimes.
  10. Good story Mark, I had some of the problems you had with the steaming up windows, suppose you could get one of those 12V demisters from a car accesory shop. You will find also the canopy if fully up with be uncomfortable in high winds we used to roll the sides up and back to give it a little less windage.Trouble with 2 outdrives and big engines you'll find as i did they always wanted to motor faster, tickover was not easy at 5mph.They will also cause more wash due to the hulls shape. But as you say they will turn the boat on a sixpence with forward and reverse at the same time. I found that the slowly, slowly catch a monkey idea suited it better as the big engines will push you to fast at times in a confined space such as a marina.at least i did not hit another boat altho i had a few near misses. You have to watch those big anchors sticking out at Brundall.Anyway Happy New to you and your family.
  11. Glad u got away ok Mark,as regards to your VHF i had some of the same problem when i picked up my new sealine 5 years ago,as i was approaching Torquay marina i called the marina to request a mooring for a few days,no answer, eventually i moored up on the visitor pontoon and went to the office to enquire why they did not answer, they said they could here me but i could not here them,so a marina man came to the boat and looked at my new US VHF radio and said it was switched to US signals and he adjusted it to international calls and BINGO it worked ok,not sure if yours is the same problem but you could check and tick that off the list, glad you had a good night in the WRC.Olive and i had a quite night in due to olive not feeling too good.
  12. I would'nt be surprised if it weren't just due to lack of use, funnily enough mine used to veer to the Portside,in the end i had fitted Bennett electronic trim tabs where the motor is hydraulic and inside the engine compt(easier to overhaul) .the Volvo motors on the Sealines are on the actual tabs underwater.
  13. Thanks for clearing that one up David i was a little bit confused thinking the 2 pipes from the engine might freeze and split if i did nothing, thanks.
  14. Am i being thick, Could the 2 pipes to the Calorifier from the engine with the Potable water in freeze or do they need to be undone?
  15. Regarding Calorifiers,do i just drain off the pipe at the bottom and DOES that drain the water OUT of the 2 pipes coming from the engine to the Calorifier?.
  16. I used to run on one engine on the rivers, the starboard engine ran the power steering the port engine heated the water so either way you lose something.
  17. I don't think yours are rubbish at all Clive in fact there very, very good like the differing contrasts and light.
  18. Yes,Mark,thats what i thought i'll stick to B & Q.
  19. Got this off another place,sounds good to me. http://www.selbyboatcentre.co.uk/catalo ... cts_id=143
  20. Hi,Clive, the stainless steering wheel looks like mine, where do you get the wood that fits the hole in the middle from or do you make them? as mine has'nt got one.
  21. Thanks,David,i said tenfold but meant warmer than it throws out now altho it does do quite well just curious to see if i can get even more out of it without spending an arm and a leg.Mark, thanks for that i will look in B & Q's to see what they have got.
  22. Does anyone know where i can get trunking insulation from local to norfolk and is it easy to fit ie: wrap around/stick on? I am told by colin that it improves the heat output thro the vents ten fold.
  23. I have a 2 year old Nanni David which does not smoke using red but would be nice to use white in the Webasto heater.
  24. As the price at the forecourts are not much different to the river price, I have wondered about this for awhile but could anyone tell me if you can use white Diesel in a newish diesel engine that uses Red Diesel at the mo, and would you get better performance out of it because it has more additives? Just wondered.
  25. After all that Steve does it work? have you tried it yet? just curious, might be the same as mine.
