Paul
I'm in the market for a new torch for work, It needs to be quite powerful, has to pick out house numbers often from a distance (I work as a multi drop delivery driver). In brief what I am looking for is something like a Lenser but for Energiser money. any recommendations?
Jbx5
Hi Paul I have a very handy Halfords advanced Cree 2aa £9.99 torch After reading great reviews at the price didn't think it would be as good as it is, light, fit in pocket easy, feels much more expensive and for picking up numbers ideal. ChrisB
Maglite LED, 2D or 3D beat any of the more expensive. Try Amazon for starters. Supplied to a lot of emergency crews I am told. Kits available for night vision lenses as well.
Baitrunner
I have a lensa that goes from wide beam to spot and has 2 power settings. Best torch I have ever had and well worth it in my opinion. If you need a head torch, petzl are the best of the best. Have a few different makes and these are the dogs. Both use virtually no battery power which will save you money long term. brandenjg
I'd recommend any cree torch you can find. I get mine from Aldi as they have them in regularly for less than a tenner . A cheap cree torch is in my opinion better than an expensive torch with a regular bulb or led. Branden
Timbo
£2.99 UNI-COM 24 LED Torch from Morrison's, batteries included. Light's up the road almost as well as my car headlamps. Fits in the top pocket, Ideal for spotting both wayward beagles hunting rabbits, dazzling enough to convince head-torch wearers to stop blinding me or indeed for checking house numbers. At that price it's just as cheap to buy a new torch than to buy new batteries.
