I found the book fascinating, the diary of a man going slowly insane pursued by his own demons.

A truly tragic account.

Don't ever say I forgot, but it was more to the point, that I lost the photos again.  Having seen Carol's scans, I really don't think I should post these pictures but I will - but do remember it was 50 years ago or so and I was only using a Box Brownie....... I did look in Carol's pictures to see whether I could be seen but don't think so!

Brilliant - thank you for those Liz. It's always interesting to see things from a different perspective and your photos aren't bad at all.

I still find it amazing that you were at the same launch. It's a small world :-)

Robin Knox Johnston donated his £5000 winnings to Donald Crowhust's widow. The equivalent of nearly £80000 today.
