I had a message from Asda this morning regarding their fuel price, I tend to use Morrison's for the points we collect.

I am lucky enough to live near a Costco warehouse with a petrol station attached. £113.9 for premium diesel and has been for a while.

Does anyone else remember in recent months (in the last 12 or so) all the hype there was about fuel going back down to £1 a litre?

It lasted how long....i think i made the mistake of blinking.

I remember Tescos Stalham was 99.9 for unleaded for a while.

 Meanwhile today, I just filled up there and the price has dropped by 1p.

Am I allowed to mention a certain 'decision' which has affected the value of Sterling against the US Dollar, the currency which oil is priced in ?

With that wonderful dollar commodity "crude" petrol, derv, tvo etc account for a very small amount of what it is used in.

When oil goes up so does resins, plastics, paint, pharmaceuticals, heating of food production facilities, cosmetics to name just a few and that is prior to the rise in distribution costs. A rise in oil pushes every thing up with it.
