Had our Christmas party last night so I sincerely hope today is the shortest day !!  Some genius decided to hold it in a cocktail lounge who were very generous in letting us experiment

Our flag has gone up ,   thank goodness , longer days, sun (sun whats that) on the river, glasses of chilled wine, good company, meeting friends.   Oh it cannot come quick enough.

Sorry to put a damper on things,it is after all the first day of winter.Okay it will get lighter but still a long way until the sun cream comes out.

As I posted earlier, I have been happy since about last Wednesday as the evenings are already drawing out!!! The mornings don't really worry me as I cannot spot it through my eyelids but for those who have to put up with the dark mornings, there is no "light" relief until about the 5th January when even the sunrise will be earlier by a minute!!

Roll on!!!!
