A47 Accident

Just seen a big accident on the A47 just past Postwick junction,  could be a long wait so avoid if you are homeward bound today.

west or east bound? our road gets busy if they close it

West bound to Thetford,  up on the viaduct..

Eastbound is clear,  westbound is not moving.

How on earth can a lorry overturn on a straight road?

Well it did picture on Facebook.

Looking at the pictures in the EDP, it wandered off line, once you've got a front left tyre on the verge it will drag you in, and in this case upside down in the ditch.

 

AA traffic is reporting the whole road from Acle to GY is closed, the rest of the 47 round Norwich is showing clear of jams

I hope they haven't killed any of those little curly Ramshorn snails, which are the reason why they haven't started safety improvements on the Acle straight?

The lucky ones were on the relocation list and have been rehoused.

AA traffic shows the Acle straight to be operating normally now..

We were on A47 towards Yarmouth early evening. Traffic on our side was delayed while they. Fixed central barrier. People from bus were out eating for replacement and traffic back beyond brundall. It seemed they still had work to do as the car was still in outside lane. When we got onto acle straight traffic was clear but stlll some idiot trying to pass with nowhere to go on our side and oncoming traffic flashing to make the driver aware they were coming.
