Dan
Hi Everyone Good to see that despite selling three of their bigger more expensive boats Moonfleet Marine have now added "Moon Quest" to their line-up, joining other late addition "Moon Adventure" in their short break fleet, which also looks great in their modernised livery http://www.moonfleetmarine.co.uk/shortbreaks.php All the best Dan
jimbo
Looks like a very tidy little Bounty that!

Guest
We saw it on the Ant on Weds, looked very nice, took a few seconds to work out who's it was, good luck with it Moonfleet and look after Mums The Word when she joins you on the 5th of July to be lavished with your usual professional attention! Guest DAYTONA-BILL
I thought Moonfleet packed up a couple of years ago. They used to have some of the latest most modern designs, as well as a good choice of very well turned out more traditional designs. Then one year, nearly all the boats had gone, with just a few big ones left, then they seemed to disappear altogether. Their fleet now seems very small, with two quite old boats, and a couple of new ones. A shadow of their former years i think, but hopefully, their boats now will be as good they used to be. Has any of the forumites hired from them in the past?. Regards to all ................... Neil.
Matt
I hired from them a few years ago and they were the best yard I have hired from.
Dan
Hi Neil I dont think their standard has ever dropped in fact I think it has steadily risen. They never packed in hireboats but expanded when they amalgamated some of the Rivercraft fleet and moved to Stalham and then cut back the size in two quite noticeable stages, and then have slowly/steadily grown a little in recent times. Since they've only had a few boats and the livery has been tamed back and gone a bit more understated I think the appearance has been as even higher/better than ever. At one time when they had a fairly large fleet (say 7 years ago or so) I think its fair to say the exteriors were pristine but the interiors of their mid and older range craft were more dated and not as smart as the exteriors implied. It's disappointing there's no interior shots showing of say Moon Quest or Moon Discovery to see whether this is still the case on their older offerings, as if this has moved forward they will no doubt build up a regular following and continue to be a great fleet. All the best Dan
Boaters
Looking at the Hoseasons site for Moon Discovery I noticed that she had an inventory most priveteers would love ,bow and aft thrusters ,electric mud weight winch, depth sounder etc should make for efortless cruising .There was one fitted like this at Wayford some time ago and it was interesting to see him stop at a gap and just squeeze sideways with inches either end

Broads01
A returnee Dan? Is that going back to the Belaugh days? I have vague recollections they had a Bounty 37 then. What's the history of this boat do you know?
Dan
Hi Simon It was Moon Crown (Moon Shadow class) until the end of 2005 when it was sold. I guess by the look of the amount of recent upgrades and Moonfleet extras its now sporting (bow & stern thrusters etc) makes it look most likely to have been bought back by them rather than being let on the owners behalf. A nice layout and a good addition I think.. I will see if I have any piccies of her in former life when I get home Dan

Guest DAYTONA-BILL
Now that`s a classic example of how "old boats" can look when they`re looked after PROPERLY.
