w44nty
I completed the North to South trip today,it was a nice trip round and weather was kind to us. We left Ranworth at 06:45 and arrived at Great Yarmouth ar 09:15 which suprised me a bit as I thought it would take longer,we had breakfast topped up fuel(it only used 5 litres from Ranworth)and departed for the trip over Breydon at 10:15. Another stop at the Ferry Inn Surlingham for 30 mins for coffee,we then set off for Thorpe ,we arrived at 14:45 feeling very pleased with our efforts,on the entire trip we never saw another boat cruising on the river, now that must be a record,Ranworth to Norwich and we were the only boat out today. I took a few pics's on the way which I will post later. Thanks everyone for your help in giving good advice etc for the trip.

Guest DAYTONA-BILL
Glad it all went well for you Steve, and good to hear you and Twobags enjoyed the trip. There`s always something very "peaceful" about being the only boat in sight, and i hope it`s as peaceful as that in June.

senator
Quite wide fast flowing rivers, plenty of pubs that you can get a mooring at even at 6pm, decent marinas and good food. Welcome to the South

Welcome to the South And the added bonus of having a mooring 5 mins from home, thats as close as I will get, unless of course I win the Lottery.
