I watched this Netflix movie last night. It was brilliant, I thought. Sutton Hoo brought to life, and Rafe Feinnes producing a creditable Norfolk accent, apparently Diss was the reference.

Yes we saw it a few weeks ago.Great,according to a item on TV last week  Its increased a lot of interest  from people  wanting to know more of the History. That's good to know.

If you are into archaeology & happen to be in the far North - a visit to Vindolanda close to Hadrian's Wall (which it pre-dates) is well worth a visit.  We were there in April 2019:

We watched it two weeks ago and I was intrigued by the Piggotts as my father always mentioned someone called Piggott as a school colleague and involved with excavations at Butser Hill in Hampshire.  On checking google, yes the husband was at the same school and born in the same year and involved with Butser.  My father never mentioned knowing he was involved with Sutton Hoo!

I remember seeing the stuff in the British Museum and being bowled over by the beauty of the shoulder clasps and belt buckle.
