Anyone got any recent airdraft heights at PHB? 

We are due high pressure as from tomorrow and I'm tinkering with the idea of getting 'B.A' onto the upper Thurne for a rare visit

you might get lucky, .41 at repps is 6 ft, and its currently at .32 at low tide, so it might be possible.

Ideally I need 6ft5” can manage at 6ft4” but it would be oh so tight

6ft3” means unscrewing the windscreen and even then just one whole inch to spare assuming I’m dead centre under the keystone with throttle down

Do you throttle back when you're under the keystone? I've seen the dip and tuck (under) approach work for some if enough water has been pushed out of the way.

I seem to remember circa 20 years ago a low spell whereby yachts with deepish keels were running aground going under, those were the days eh.

Not for me, its half ahead, around 1200rpm (5mph) make a steady approach then at 100Yds off 1800rpm (6mph), final adjustments, 20Yds off increase rpm to around 2'200 (Not flat out) stand dead centre of wheelhouse steering with left hand, get my noggin lined up with keystone, duck (And pray)

I'm not sure that giving us the "heads up" going under Potter is a good idea. I'll ask Ian, I understand he has some experience on the subject.
