Wayford Bridge

A few questions about Wayford.

What's the pub like?

Are there moorings this side of the bridge? (South side)

Can I walk easily to Stalham and/or Sutton Staithe?

Good pub, choice of beer a bit limited but what they have is kept well, good food. personally I would prefer to take a gentle walk into Stalham to the kebab shop...truly wondrous food...but then I am a tight wad!

Jim I quite liked it although it was expensive.. .. there's not so much of a view though (unless you like car parks).. Inside is "different and modern" but worth a look.. 

 

I must admit we stayed out till quite late the time we went and I got really wasted which is unlike for me so it wasn't a bad pub!  (Strangely the road noise didn't notice either) .

Jim we visited the pub late September. It's one of the Marco Pierre White chain of pubs.

I was expecting posh, small portions but was pleasantly surprised when the food was brought out. I went for the sirloin stake and Deb had the chicken Kiev. Both meals were superb and as with most things in life you get what you pay for.

We will definately return.

We moored on the BA 24hr moorings. As stated the road bridge is right by them but noise was not a issue for us. Definately give it a go if you are in the area.

Thanks for the info, going off topic slightly, what has clearance under the bridge been like with the recent weather? I have 6ft 10.

Under normal tide conditions its 7ft3" at the bridge, or should say, it was in May.

I remember my comment about the decor when I was asked by the young lady behind the bar what I thought.

 

"I find it vaguely reminiscent of the gentlemen's toilets at Kings Cross station, only without the warmth."
