SueH
Hi - 12:50 7 May 2015. Just coming up the New Cut towards Reedham. Saw 21 large yachts heading from Reedham to Breydon. As seen from the New Cut looked like a mobile forest. Don't know if it was them, but don't often see quite such a large number of yachts following each other under power. You definately wouldn't want to see that lot coming the other way under sail! Have been using a 3 mobile Huawei all week and am very impressed, in the South have been able to get onto the Internet every time I've tried, even in the middle of nowhere. NorfolkNog
This was mentioned on Coldham Hall's Twitter feed - they tweeted it was/is a Dutch flotilla
thirdmate
Spotted all 22+ waiting on Breydon for bridge lift on Thurs. Rafted up in 2's and 3's using the marker posts as mooring, sorry but not able to take photo. Very impressive sight, had a chat to a few of the skippers while they were moored at Coldham, seems there where a few buttock clenching moments as depth of river at some points was a tad shallow. They had to be bused to Norwich, shame they couldn't motor up something to do with a bridge not working
Timbo
The Bavarian flotilla are still crossing the Alps into France but have encountered stiff resistance from the Swiss Navy. Although not having a knife of their own the Swiss Navy are shelling the Bavarians with cheese, pointy chocolate and cuckoo clocks. The Bavarians have retaliated with a bombardment of Black Forest Gateau in the hope that, once they make it to the top of the Alps, it will help speed their descent. More news as it happens!
