alexandlorna
Have come across from South side in last few hours, and was extremely gusty But wind has now strengthened and we are showing gusts of 35-40 knots between Yarmouth and Stracey Arms So take care today all ☺☺

alexandlorna
Give us a shout next time ☺ I think we saw Moonlight Shadow when moored at Worlingham last season in June I think, was that you on board then?
Bonzo
Personally I like a bit of a wind on Breydon. Despite my old tub has a flat bottom and bangs on every wave, even showing daylight underneath so I have been told. It makes a break from the calm waters on the rest of the Broads. In saying that I can remember a few years ago bashing across Hickling Broad late one evening in half light heading for an excellent meal and a few pints in The Pleasure Boat. Hickling Broad can be just as lively as Breydon Water.
alexandlorna
To be honest ,Breydon was not bad until Breydon Bridge ,where the swell was a bit worse It was between Gt Yarmouth and Points North the real fun began due to heavy gusts of wind No one on board had a curry the night before so that was ruled out ! We hardly notice the waves unless really bad ( Breydon would no doubt be closed by then anyway ) ,but the superstructure being high at the stern does make for some fun in high winds ! Liberty
Well said. Love Breydon in a blow, especially playing in a rib.
JennyMorgan
A number of Martham's sailing boats turned up on Oulton Broad today. Must have had exciting sail across Breydon! If they picked their boats up on Saturday then they did well to make O.B. today.
