Potter H web cam....

Does anyone know who owns that White Van that is parked every day and blocks our view of the Bridge on the Herbert Woods web cam. It's most annoying!! Grrrrrrrr!!!!                                                                              

 

If anyone does know, please drop Gracie a mail so she can go and sort them out! One Stilleto should surfice!

Now that the van has gone, the arch looks bigger than it has been for a while. The river certainly looks lower, from over 400 miles away !

I agree about that van-I guess the driver doesn't know about obstructing the camera-after all, he never needs the camera-he's seeing the bridge in real life almost every day.

I always find it difficult to gauge the height of the water, I try to look at the smaller arches to do so, but it never works! I always bow to the knowledge and expertise of the pilots when I am there, and pretend I know best when viewing through the camera. The only thing that gets damaged then is my ego.

Just been looking on several of the web cams.

OB is empty, WRC only has a couple of boats moored up. Wherry Hotel moorings empty. No river traffic at Horning or PH.

Why so quiet on a Friday in mid June??????

The water has been low for some months now, and the bridge clearance at Potter better than in many a year. Saw 7 foot on the gauge last Wednesday, about 2 hours after what should have been low water, and that's by no means untypical.
