  1. Indeed they are, Robin! When we went to book a summer holiday aboard in Holland this year we checked out Hoseasons' prices..... up to 50% higher than dealing directly with the Dutch boatyards..........
  2. Branden, Hi. It doesn't say but they will almost certainly have put a reserve price on it................
  3. Chris, hi, welcome aboard. In Horning, yes. Ring the New Inn 01508 538 403 and book early! You have to eat there but it's well worth it and Gus will help you tie up.
  4. PS, do you have a name we can use?
  5. Welcome aboard, Stayin, from us.
  6. Not likely, Alan! We spent 20 years ('85-'05) dragging one of those up and down the seas!
  7. Oh, come on, Matt and Alan! We (and most other sensible peeps with limited pockets) know exactly which way the tide is running! To make a point.... for the Easter Meet at OBYS Mary-Jane & I will leave Brundall at 05.30 to take the Ebb to Reedham and then the Flood to OBYS. Thu 28 Mar 2013 07:56 07:26 06:56 05:56 04:26 05:26 )(LW Reedham) It just makes sense to use literally half the diesel!
  8. OK, Mark, I understood that but just thought that a logical explanation would help... And thanks, Martin... you've put it very succintly!
  9. We know this, Mark... but perhaps an explanation of why?
  10. Straight from Wikipedia: Otters consume about 7 to 30 percent of their body weight each day, depending on species and activity level.
  11. Try googling "diesel & pumpouts norfolk broads" and you'll get the answer..... not sure if I can quote the answer here!
  12. Beautiful, Clive. You are well blessed with such creatures living with you.
  13. They charged £4 in October and gave you 10% off food; so for 4 peeps you'd likely break even!
  14. A few pics of these river monsters would be nice, PC69! (even if taken with your cell phone)
  15. A really well-run pub and the very best of luck to them both! I still rememeber those spare ribs at the quiz night in 2010! (and I did finish them!)
  16. Barnes Brinkraft don't, Dave (or didn't). Friday Girl (ex BB boat) is 17 years old this year and she's never had an anode, anywhere and we traverse all three most of the time! When we had her out of the water last Autumn we specifically looked for signs on the prop (bronze) and the rudder (iron)... there weren't any...
  17. Alex, Hi and Welcome Aboard the forum. You'll find a wealth of experience and help on offer and have only to ask the necessary questions to get the replies! Please introduce yourself in 'New Members Say Hi!' and tell us a bit about yourself if you wish.
  18. Here's the ones I use, Jill: http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2641181 (Norwich) For the North Broads and Western South Broads http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2643490 (Lowestoft) For the North Broads east of Acle and For the South Broads south and east of Cantley Surprisingly enough there can be a considerable difference in weather between the two!
  19. Hope you have a good catch, PC69... "Tight Lines" as we used to say! We do have a few anglers onboard and hopefully they'll be online soon.
  20. Branden! It would a lot more than that but there is no-one there between Nov and April to take money!
  21. They'll be livaboards, Branden. Wintering there and using the leccy pylon.
  22. Hi Numpty, Welcome aboard from us
