Yes, it is. Just look at the current and always leave into it, whether in reverse or forward gear. Similarly mooring... moor into the current (which gives you slower speed over the ground).

After so many requests Mary-Jane and I are organising an Autumn meet. We have polled the stalwarts who attend most meetings and the over-riding wish was for it to be held at Coldham Hall over the first weekend in October. That is, Friday 5th to Sunday 7th of October. Natalie has promised to put on a similar "do" ( a sit down meal on Sat night) to that we had last year at the NBN 4th Birthday Bash, which was very well attended and much enjoyed! (A menu will be available in early September). We have decided to leave the 5th Birthday Bash to be organised, possibly in the North this year, by any other members who wish to do so. I've looked at it several times, Rod and I reckon it shows 6ft 3ins or a tad over... the bow certainly does seem higher at that speed! And as you say, with an Alpha FD the bow is usually higher anyway......... And probably David's right!
