A warm "Welcome Aboard" the good ship NBN, Pauline and Keith. You could always go to the NBN Shop and buy a Burgee and then add a bit on as a donation if you wish. I'm sure one adorning to Ocean Dawn's bow will enhance her looks!
I've only looked at one, Shaun, and that's the 39KL. She does seem very under-powered, 150bhp in a 39 foot boat doesn't seem a lot for sea passages. http://westboat.com/39kl.htm
That's not good news, Keith, in particular with what Eric says above: "Having just spent a month in Bali, which is almost all Hindu.................... ............although I have no idea of what would happen on the moorings as water plays a major part of their ceremonies". Let's hope someone (The BA?) can persuade them to keep the moorings public.
We've had 14 boats at Coldham, Ian, but it can be a bit expensive and there's nowhere else to go if you don't like their food. What do others think to that for next Summer, please? (23/24 July, OBYS)
That's already used by the NBF I believe, Polly and we try not to tread on each others toes; so we'd have to know when they use it. But if sufficient peeps want it then please feel free to to add it to the suggestions!
Bank Holidays are much more expensive for hirers, Alan... that's why we try to keep away from them. Also we did discuss next Spring and that date's already booked. We would have to book by the end of the year to get OBYS and they would want numbers pretty accurately by next Easter at the latest, but I think that's a good idea. How about July 23/24, 2016 at OBYS? Again Womach isn't bookable to my knowledge but I'm open to any other ideas!
Eric, Hi. Nice pics again! That hard rock cafe guitar is a replica of one on the edge of Miami International Airport a few years ago... We were sat inside drinking, as one would, when a Nigerian Airways B707 did a very low go-around in poor weather and took the guitar off in the middle. It was extremely noisy and the whole building shook........... we had to stay and have a lot more beers to calm down! The Captain diverted to Miami Opa Locka and was never seen again after they landed!
