  1. Welcome aboard the good ship NBN, Ian & Cristina, good to have you here.
  2. You know who are the only wrotten winners in anything like this, Peter. ....
  3. That's what I do, Marina, but I've increasingly started to wait for another hour at GHYS.
  4. It might work in the very first after HW, Neil, but as you go up river you'll get an ever increasing ebb against you.
  5. And those pilots were doing what they live and love to do Peter. I speak from personal experience.
  6. Bill, Hi. We found this out a couple of years ago when the level had risen to 6ft 3ins on the board during the two days we were up at Coltishall Common and Horstead. I gritted my teeth and followed a piloted Alpha 35 through: "If he can make it we should too, Darling"... (We made it but I'd not do it again regardless of the time we might have to waste. My gosh, it was very close).
  7. I completely agree with you, Grace. Well said!
  8. If you can't eyeball the difference between 6ft and 8ft then you really should have visited *pecsavers! Or taken an all inclusive holiday. ..
  9. I've just decided to take up angling again but I've only got sea-fishing gear with 50lb breaking strain line and skate hooks. I guess they'll be a bit heavy for Broads use? Perhaps the Womach Staithe shop will be able to help.....
  10. Hear, Hear! Ian. But what ever happened to the good old so'wester?
  11. £150,000? For a field? Lunatics and asylums come to mind...
  12. However, Neil, as you ask, then yes, they are permitted.CAP 362 specifically says that a swept wing aeroplane must have a serviceable ejection seat. The reporter you quote has absolutely no idea what he is talking about.
  13. Sorry, Neil, but as you know I've been there, done it. I'm not inclined to speculation. Let's wait for the AAIB to report.
  14. A warm welcome aboard the good ship NBN from us, Lakesailor.
  15. There is no known cure, Paul... you are doomed
  16. HapHappy Birthday, Charlie... Have a Great Day!
  17. I'm sorry to say but it's a sign of the times, Ray.
  18. Two in one morning, Ray? ... I find it impossible to comprehend. ..........
  19. Idyllic, Ray.... waiting for the chaos to start!
  20. Welcome aboard the good ship NBN, Jon & Jo, from us.
  21. Seriously, Hi. I'm more than happy to give you the extra 0.5% if that will bring you!
  22. I bow to superior knowledge.............
  23. Done, Lou.. thanks for the idea.
