  1. I slipped up Vaughan, I should have sent your original quote to my old friend in Skye who runs one of the local radio stations He is/was a bit of a prankster worked in the West End for many years then headed up there for a quiet lifestyle ! Iain

  3. Hi Monica, Indeed it was JH and it was to apologise for the letter sent to me from one of his office staff at head office Sunway House. It had been a poor follow up to my original letter of complaint, funny enough about the boat that Captain Joshie now owns, BRAVEHEART. It was then, Ritaline1. So yes, most definately a real gent ! Iain
  4. JA, I may be wrong, but, I have a feeling one of those boats ended up on Loch Lomond when JH was in charge up here ! I have a feeling I saw one moored at either Tarbet or Luss. Iain
  5. Mark I know exactly what you mean! After a bit of searching on my tablet I turned the auto OFF ! Iain

  11. Ahha Vaughan, but someone was clever enough to build a bridge over the sea to Skye and now its Toll free ! Nae oary boat required In all my years holidaying in Norfolk never realised the additional history regarding that bridge. Perhaps Tim, his gracious lordship Nelson, put his boat on a horse and cart so as to avoid such niceities as Potter Heigham Bridge ! Iain
  12. I am surprised know one has said these boats were all stinkies with stinkie being the prerogative word !
  13. I prefer to use my eyes, Robin, when steering. A different kettle of fish if a ocean going liner ! Then yes something like that will be very handy indeed! Iain
  14. Now you have me confuzzled, Vaughan, regarding Lord Nelson, I have always been lead to believe he learned to sail on Barton Broad ? Iain
  15. Who requires MI6 when you have the NBN on the job !
  16. They do say water is so much cheaper to produce electricity !
  17. From what I can see Stuart that is possibly the reason. If that is the unit it looks like it has overheated on the right hand side. Time to spend pennies I think. Iain
  18. You missed out wine selecting and high heel shoes! Alan
  19. Keep it a tad under War and Peace proportions there's a good chap! Would love to read history of that kind Tim. Iain
