  2. Hi Alan, Another few jobs ticked off the list. I do hope you miss that snow forecasted down south. Very raw here today, but no white stuff, just the odd spot of rain. Now get back to work, really, slacking on Christmas Day pah ! hehe. Nah, like your carpet colour choice, blue n white nice combination, reminds me of a certain Saltire flag colour. Iain.

  4. Well, I had a lovely day being spoiled by two ladies, SWMBO and her sister. Many highlights on TV for me, I loved watching Kiss me Kate from the Albert Hall, wonderful show. Captain Philips too was good and The Monuments Men. Oh yes the wonders of On Demand TV, how Christmas TV watching has changed! I hope you all refrain from over indulgance today As we say up here, it will soon be back to wurkin claes n purridge soon! Happy Boxing Day Iain.

  16. When we can get under the railway bridge, always call in there. Began holidays from Hearts in the 90's there. Nice to read elsewhere on the forum, that the Buck Inn has reopened also. Iain.
  17. I was being polite about B/combe, but it suited me with the car park behind Sainsburys. I have written several times to Ryanair regarding that flight, in the hope that it could be resurected. The airport was in the throws of being upgraded when I last took off on a very windy night about 10.30pm! It was very useful for the Scottish RNLI crews (west coast) to get to Poole Headquarters.   18. I use to fly down regulary from Prestwick to Bournemouth till Ryanair stopped it grrrr Met up with friends from Hampshire. Stayed at the then new Travelodge just outside B/mouth on the way to Boscombe. Toured the area. Boscombe being flat and having TJ Hughes for bargains before it closed, I could walk no problem then. Happy times, miss that flight a lot. Iain.
