I distinctly remember reading many times in the Hoseasons and Blakes booklet that came with your holiday booking, about checking your wash and speed by looking at the river bank. 5mph was a brisk walk! Know wonder my legs are knackered today ! The same was in, and I think still is in, the Skippers manuals. Two words come to mind.....common sense. Iain

Hi All, Well its my second anniversary today, being a Pesky Mod on the NBN. Two years ago today,John our intrepid "Admiral," he of beer mat and sticker fame, invited yours truely to join the other side, and be a Moderator on here. I have enjoyed every minute of it.....so far, even the "jokes" section It has been a learning curve, still is ! You really are a wonderful compendium of members, from our blonde bombshell to our DOMs and those in between, like the chocaholics, yep we sure have a mixed bunch, but you are all, great fun to me, especialy just now, when I have not been able to get out much, the old legs have been norty ! Do please enter into the forum, don't just read, you never know it may be the next scoop thread ! Kindest regards to all NBN nembers Iain

The beer aint bad there either Grace ! Ruth and I had our honeymoon in Yorkshire, and have returned many times both for short breaks and longer holidays. The North York Moors Railway is a must do if there. Or for me, driving around the moors ending up at Whitby. Goathland, Aidensfield to those who followed Heartbeat, is worth a look, but would recommend out of season! The folk are very friendly there. Iain

With regards to the H & T flooring, when you fall on it, as I did last year, its not very forgiving, in fact it is the opposite ! Ouch .....double ouch ! Iain P.S. I am trying to picture Tim in a short frock doing the Riverdance !

Ah Mark, that will be two + two finger sign know doubt ! Quite right too IMHO. We have very bad memories of Brammerton moorings. My late mum was nearlly badly scalded by the Brundall Navy bombing by on a Sunday morning ! Obviously 5mph does not equate to such vessels. Iain
