  1. Well i can honestly say today on the river was hell, couldn,t see a dam thing and our canopy at the front wasn,t on completly so 6 towels later it was nearly dry .....inside!!

Yes the all round light is purly for anchoring and is on a seperate switch, the height between the lights isn,t that important, but the angles they are viewable from is,although a metre sounds good, more if possible,there,s more detail here as it,s a bit in depth http://www.boatsafe.com/nauticalknowhow/060199tip5.htm As long as the lights you fit are rated as per the website/colregs(they should state they are on the description/packaging) you will be fine

My boat is 28ft and is classed as a sea going boat, it has port/starboard/running(faces foward only), all round(anchor),stern running light on th the transum, so from behind you would see one white, from the front head on you would see one white above green/red, side one red or green,,,moving left looking fowards on, one red with one white over, green for for moving right with white over hope this helps, you won,t be wrong if you keep to this

  12. should it not lock when in gear?? check the remotes are actually putting it in gear, ie remove cable and try engaging gear by hand??

  17. Ahh a cat, you might get away with that ,bss is a minefield! bet everybody now looks up catalitic heaters for boats now!!,they do sell them openly for use on boats still
  18. The flue may be a sticking point......if its room sealed it,s ok 8.10.3 Do all appliance flues and exhausts terminate directly to outside air? A Check the location of all flue and exhaust terminals. Check for the presence of a canopy or canopy fixings where a flue/exhaust terminates at any part of the vessel which could be enclosed by a canopy. Appliance flue and exhaust terminals must be located outside the interior of the vessel and outside of any areas which may be enclosed by a canopy. Applicability – in the event a fault is determined take the actions described in Appendix A.
  19. Which make and model meant to add, ie is flueless, or room sealed flue, and do the manufacturers advise use in a marine enviroment? it,s going to get rather damp in winter,
