If a staithe is a staithe in the general sense of a Broads staithe then I doubt access from the land can be refused. The BA has history where Potter's Shed City is concerned. I foresee a fight, good luck.
How does this one compare?

Ricardo, I take it then that the recovered boat is not the one inhabited by the one man, his son and his dog then? The ranger for the area should know if the sunken boat was registered, as it should have been, so hopefully the owner will be traced. Mind you demolition of a concrete boat won't come cheap and whether the owner will have the dosh to pay remains open to speculation.

Someone could be facing a hefty bill from the BA, the owner or the toll payer!
Long time ago I delivered a few Moonrakers, lovely boats in their day. Great job, being paid to go boating. Never could understand owners who paid others to enjoy using their boat whilst they sat in an office! Re wet boats, nothing more uncomfortable than a planing hull in weather that is too rough for planing, give me (please) a wet trawler yacht any day of the week!
Over the years I have enjoyed several 'jollies' aboard wherries, Albion, White Moth & Olive. Without exception huge fun & to be highly recommended. When Albion was based at Oulton Broad, long time ago now, we did a pub crawl on the Yare, that was a hoot! The ultimate Lasses' Weekend? It could be!
Of course if you missed that boat show then there is always this one, especially for those of you who like 'real' boats rather than status symbols .

In a nutshell, in my humble opinion of course, the London Boat Show has long lost its way. No longer the national winter gathering for the boating community, its congregation has changed. Now the temple of excess, of Lottery winners and the financially obese. It ain't what it used to be!
Back in 2016 a mother & child suffered horrific, life changing injuries on Oulton Broad when a speedboat crashed into a moored boat. People need protecting from themselves.
I applaud the clear message that these prosecutions bring and hopefully that message will attract folk to the Broads that are welcome and dissuade those that are not.
Might have been a repeat but I watched Countrywise (ITV) with Ben Fogle on the Wherry Albion this morning. Some good photography and pictures of the Broads. Ben was heard to ask the wherry skipper why he had a carpet on his head? Maybe our resident wherry contributor can tell us more? Good stuff and good for the (Suffolk built) Norfolk Wherry Trust.
You only had to ask, no need to go to the Boat Show, just click on:

and tell them you found out about them at NBN. Actually the boss's name is Luke Smith, he might be a member, albeit lapsed.
