    Spitfire At Biggin

In the 60s that would be the Saltbox or the Nightingale. More recently the Spitfire, but don't know if any of them are still there. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app

    Sun Hatch Supports

Thanks, both, getting the picture now. There are no metal pieces in sight and only one plastic insert, so it's definitely a visit to Haines. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app

    Sun Hatch Supports

Thanks, IPA. I've sent them an email. Thanks too, Sidestand. We are near to Haines and will drop in. How could one not? Only one of our arms has a plastic insert; it's a rather odd shape and still doesn't give a grip, but that is likely the solution. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app

    I Hate.....

"Would you like a drink?" "No, I'm all right thanks". "I didn't ask if you were all right". "Whatever".

    Sun Hatch Supports

Wow, thanks for the swift response, Grendel. I have surfed the web till my eyes went crossed, and tried a specialist boat window repairer in Wroxham. In view of its similarity to the Haines 31 and others I wondered if any Haines owners had the same arrangement. The problem with other designs is making a new attachment point close to the glass. 6. I wonder whether anyone can identify these sun hatch supports on our recently acquired Renaissance 31? One is missing, the other three will not grip. So far I've been unable to find a supplier. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app

    Boat cookware

Especially when pipes are laid to draw off the methane. This now forms a significant part of our energy supply. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app

    Somerleyton Bridge Not Operational

I was referrring to plain track, not other bridges.

    Somerleyton Bridge Not Operational

Probably a daft question, but why is rail expansion such a problem on the bridge - surely the same applies throughout the rail network? I had heard there were some problems in the latest extreme conditions leading to speed limits being imposed, but not to the extent of shutting lines every other day.

    Water Spraying Trial Somerleyton

The imminent hosepipe ban could knock that on the head, though. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app

    Carbon Dioxide = Beer Shortage

Millions of years ago CO2 was a major component of the earth's atmosphere. Today it is only 4 parts per million, thus demonstrating that we have almost entirely used it up in the production of beer. The government should urgently work to help step up the production of 4WDs and re-open all the mothballed coal-fired power stations. They should, of course, declare a national state of emergency. Nothing

The definitve and most erudite work on the subject: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Book-Nothing-John-D-Barrow-ebook/dp/B0045JKETY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1529663315&sr=8-1&keywords=book+of+nothing Fascinating reading, deeply researched and explained with many graphs and charts. Sadly, it doesn't cost nothing.
