Today and tomorrow I am at Battersea dog and cat home .Not the best view,however brings back memories. We got our old dog from there ,Tess.Before she came into our life she lived with a old man in a flat.Where we life is a large park.She loved the open space.We took her to the sea,which she could not work out why the water went backwards and forward..I did suggest to Marina I bring home a little four legged friend.Perhaps when we retire! I spoke with Marina, in turn she contacted cove at Brundall. Over the weekend the water was very low.However now all boats are floating.

Have seen some posts on Facebook, seems water very low in Brundall. It tends to happen every so often.A few years back we were heading to Beccles. Never seen the water so low.

It's funny,I have never been into I'm a celebrity. Tonight The Apprentice. I like watching it.Many of which I could throw overboard. Lots could not even run a bath.However still like it.

Sadly for the time being my last day at Drummonds, Next week a bit of a mixture. Monday to Wedsnesday next week I am at Crystal palace National sports centre. Been working there for many years.Back in 2012,I was th of a time that cooked for the Brazilian Olympic team.We worked with Brazilian chefs.Together we looked after the team for a month.Hard but interesting. Don't worry it's often people pulling one another's legs.Going back to boats.I would agree with others perhaps not ideal as a first time/broads boat.I would suggest you call into NYA and NBS.They can be found at Brundall, Horning.NBS has an office also in Wroxham. It's worth checking some of the boats available. Also you can test drive some.Once you get the boat the hard apart then is changing it to sult you.Boats often look good but not always right for you.Much like houses I find you know it's right,when it feels right.

Sorry but as a chef I have used them many times and I would not swap them for gas.Yes many pots and pans are not suitable for induction hobs.

I would not consider induction. Have never seen one on a boat,better to go for gas.There are many good two,three,four ring burners and good ovens

Have used them many times,in my job as a chef.Not a fan,I prefer gas.My boat has a gas stove much better in my opinion

Like it.When we move in back in 1997.What is the fire now was not there.One day Marina and I knew at one time there would have been a fire place,so we one afternoon got a hammer and knocked out the area where a fire place would be.We then got this fire place a 're pro dated roughly late 1800s,early 1900s.Our house dates from 1901.We still have two other fire places in Nicola's and Alan's bedrooms.We also have other bits and bobs dating from when the house was built.

Tonight first fire of the winter,one good thing about the winter.Today we got our tree.Tomorrow,I will put up the decs and Marina will do the tree.

This time of the year,there a few boats around.In high season,the northern broads tend to be busy,the southern broads not so much.As for boats like many things it's often feels right once you get the right one.Why not get a day boat,some are available this time of year,but not many.I have been visiting the broads since the sixties,hiring for many years and owning boats since 2009.

Welcome to the forum, my question how much do you know about the broads?as for boats I would suggest you check NYA and NBS.you can check on line there are also other sites that offer boats for sale.
