  5. well thats me set up for the day, HW webcam guided tour on the tv, with gold radio as a soundtrack, all ready for the 3RR later,
  6. well when they started quoting global warming around I did some research, and right back then decided for myself that climate change was a better term, this is because if the worl warms, the ocean currents will change (this has happened in the past too) basically the system starts with the atlantic conveyor, this s a cold current from the north atlantic that runs along the bottom of the atlantic, and drives the rest of the worlds ocean currents. if this slows down, or stops, the world ocean currents will change, if this happens the gulf stream will slow or stop, this is the current that keeps the temperatures in this country at a nice balmy temperature, we are at the same latitude as moscow and canada, so if the current stops we will have far colder winters, so for the uk, global warming means we get colder, and its similar worldwide, some places will get warmer, others colder, so global climate change is a far better term. most climate change models work on air currents and current climate patterns, but the majority of the models dont account for the ocean currents and changes pertaining to those, so in my belief the majority of predictions may be flawed. there is also the point that looking back through history, that similar events have happened before, in fact ice ages have almost always been preceded by a short period of warming, and we are overdue for an ice age.
  7. the boats I am thinking about are woodies, so it would just be a bit of carpentry.
  8. its just a shame then that google maps has labelled the ditch to the west of the B1113 as the River Waveney then. and that the ditch in question then goes to join the river little ouse.
  9. I trust you used both fingers. I am glad he has mended enough to get out on the water, I guess that means he has fixed the gearbox issue with no reverse. (who needs to stop anyway)
  10. I reckon you could raise the walkways deck head up by 3 inches and still get through potter heigham bridge (only the walkways width mind you, not the entire roof.
  11. Welcome JOAT, well you could hire from marthams, I find their boats comfortable unless you forget to duck, I too have a height disadvantage.
  12. its southwest of Thetford, just south of the A1066 Thetford - Diss road near the B1113
  13. they were decomposed ages back and turned into natural gas.
  14. the map actually shows them joining, these show at the very least just a few metres separation
  15. its basically an agreement not to carry a disagreement of views from forum to forum, so yes we would ask that you refrain, but in particular we would step in if links were posted referring to other forums, these would be removed.
  16. last night a paper template was cut out for the bow section of the planking, ready for the 1/32" plywood to arrive (hopefully today) to then have the plank lines burnt in and stained etc.
  17. especially when they come ready packaged in their own biodegradable skin.
  18. site security mode at night?
  19. just watching it again there is just two instances i can see where it zooms in on the HW entrance where there are 3 houses in shot - I cant see how one could say its looking in the windows though as its just too far away, one other instance as it zooms it does get a pretty close shot but when it finishes zooming it clearly avoids that houses windows. you might have a case to ask them not to zoom so close if you lived in one of the 3 houses they zoom in to, but other than that i see no real issues, having watched it through its complete loop. as a security camera, watching their river entrance though, they are probably going to get the 3 bungalows behind in the shot whatever you do
  20. Charlie, from what I can see its just on a programmed loop, not able to be controlled from the website, I will check when I get home as I can only get it on my tablet at work, but I dont think you can take control and make it zoom into a specific window.
  21. from what I saw for the limited time I had available to watch, while the camera zooms in, I didnt see it as closely enough to observe the goings on inside any private residence, and the only view of the gardens was less than one would get cruising past on a boat. maybe if you raise the point with herbert woods they can do a similar exercise that Barnes did with obscuring the parts of the camera view that looked into windows, or just have it default to a different spot before zooming in, getting a screen shot of the offending moment and sending it with a request should gain a response, as there must be legislation concerning this with all the cameras that now watch our streets - 1984 anyone.
  22. well, it looks like I will have to remake those angles - oh no I hear you cry, your poor fingers - no thats not the reason, its just that they should be chequer plate stainless steel - and I have found I can get that from a model truck shop - real scale stainless chequer plate, well it just has to be.
  23. blocked on my work machine, but i can get it on my tablet
  24. my second car was a bitsa escort, it had bits of a 1100, a 1600 and a 1300, the engine was cobbled together from 2 and got working, the rad was from the 1600, so it always ran a bit cool, but it ran and got me around. has anyone noticed how much more reliable cars are nowadays than they ever were back then, I am sure a week didnt go by when something needed tweaking or fixing, oil adding or water.
  25. its on their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/horseyNT/?__tn__=%2CdkCH-R-R&eid=ARAAAMrdxLvFvz-V40Ths3AATF5CwtOkMhggC_Y6btNuKFrtTy-Gm8MXcQLp74pndCmSpgdlyk7HDt_n&hc_ref=ARQ4hUPJokGqyzkYdN60Wj6U3NLFC-VfFClgjaHlFyofvbtocRTsgGuBvgpduEeoYcA&fref=nf&hc_location=group
