I seem to recall grif saying they have steered BA at one point with shouted orders and a wrench on the tiller bar, and another instance where the throttle was controlled with a length of string, besides they still had the rib to tow them in. -
I think we should be paying more attention to this statement JM lifted off the national park website, rather than bickering amongst ourselves, after all it is a statement in writing that they think that despite the fact there are different aims and purposes - they are stating that the Sandford Principle should be applied where there is conflict, if the rest of the national parks already think this, how long will it be before sombody tries to enforce it, with the backing of the other national parks, the more something like this is publicised and spread around the internet the more it will be believed, until eventually at some point in the future it will be accepted as a fact - this is what is being fought here. and this just backs up the comments I made earlier:-

a spare pair is worth its weight in gold, I would suggest getting a spare pair to keep somewhere safe on board. -
truth be told a lot of work is now done in the conservatory workbench, so this one had got a bit cluttered with other projects, but since steaming had to be done and formers fixed down, I just pushed everything to the back of this one for this job, it is well due a tidy and declutter. in the mean time the side top rails have come out of the formers, and the front rails have been steamed and shaped around the bow deck, an extra thickness has been added to protect the outer layer as I bent it round the former, if the outer layer had cracked it would have been discarded. well it would anyway, but I didnt want to have to re-do it.

I would surmise that once Sandford got in - any complaint would be too late as it would override any objections.

so under strict moglet supervision, work goes on, the first of the laminated top rails clamped to the former (deck piece) I needed some wedges where the extra material was removed from the deck piece after finishing up oversize. this is a gentle curve, so the parts are just glued straight into the jig, once the glue is dry the pieces will be sanded to thickness and the outer edge of the top rail shaped to the taper required (flat to the top, shaped on the bottom) the section for the bow will first need to be steamed, then glued up.

having seen the various videos dotted around facebook, I see you had a problem with the fly by wire and the port engine gearbox oil pressure, and came back in on the starboard engine only, I was wondering if this was a major show stopper for the trip up channel, or just an easily fixed wiring fault? either way, better found out at this stage than half way up the channel. -

Duncan, Welcome, I am sure if you were to let us know all about the behind the scenes work here it would raise the awareness - even amongst the non anglers of us here. -

Welcome, as Charlie says, a price would be helpful, and if you do sell through the forum, a donation to forum funds would be welcomed to keep this place running.

OK the decks are cut, a little trimming to do on one side (see the pencil line) and a little commentator every time I come back in from the workshop.
