Thanks Andy Here's my ignorance and lack of knowledge showing again. Will that do the same sort of thing to quieten down the exhaust noise Andy or should I have both a waterlock and muffler. I only ask as I've seen a few diagrams on boat exhaust systems with 3 bits in, I think the 3rd was called a goose neck. Lady Patricia is a Norman 24 narrow beam so space is not plentiful

Hi all, Before I go and part with my hard earned cash at one of the online shops I thought I'd ask on here if anyone has what we need and is willing to sell. We are after a muffler to fit to our exhaust system. Currently has a length of 45mm exhaust hose straight through to the exhaust outlet which at present is quite noisy. The engine is a Volvo Penta MD11c raw water cooled. If anyone has anything that would fit the bill please let us know Steve & Deb

Just been looking on several of the web cams. OB is empty, WRC only has a couple of boats moored up. Wherry Hotel moorings empty. No river traffic at Horning or PH. Why so quiet on a Friday in mid June??????

We have a throwing line Alan but both Deb and I ALWAYS wear our life jackets while cruising (with crotch straps done up) as you know. I think I'd be inclined to go with the horseshoe type if we were to invest in another.

3 words JUST BEING THERE

I checked with our insurance company and we are covered by canal and river rescue as part of our annual cost. It covers a tow back to our home marina if we break down anywhere on the broads.

As a consumer, with a little common sense I'd like to think, I think open forums and sites like trip advisor are great. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see those who clearly have their own agenda against a particular business or establishment and those businesses or establishments that really aren't cutting the mustard so to speak. It's good to see this situation resolved and Boulters excellent reputation from the responses on here has not suffered one bit. I've never dealt with them in any capacity but have only ever heard or read good about them. Alls well that ends well as they say

Closest I've fished on one of the main rivers is Cantley. 4oz feeder just to hold bottom. I was told to fish just before and the first couple of hours of the outgoing tide but not sure how much difference that really made. Had a couple of nice bream just fishing corn with the feeder full of brown crumb

As with the boat help mate when Dave helped me with those few engine jobs, I'll be saying, you'll be doing. It's the best and quickest way to learn

After all the help you guys have given us with the boat the least I can do is pass on some of my 35+ years of knowledge about fishing. Sounds like we need to start off with fish care and handling before we go to the shops
