  1. Sadly another character passed away. I bet there are not many people in Norwich who didn't know him.
  2. Watched 45 minutes of it, interesting but nowhere near the one with Pru in. could watch that time and again.
  3. Why don't the council do whats been done in Lowestoft, that is put a turnstile in and make people pay. If you are desperate you wouldn't mind paying for proper facilities.
  4. Something like the bridge to Connesuir moorings at Wroxham
  5. Roys do a litter pick every morning on these moorings and the surrounding area, also keep the grass cut and shrubs trimmed. I don't think the BA do anything apart from checking the mooring posts are not loose.
  6. I hope the long term winter moorers put a donation in the box every night
  7. I see the BA have put a donation box on the stern on moorings at Wroxham. I think this is a good idea as I am sure no one minds putting a donation in for mooring there. I certainly will if the water is low enough to get under the bridge..I wonder if this will be done on all moorings. There is a donation box at Womack moorings which is run by the Parish council. I don't know if this is being done on all moorings. What do other members think?
  8. Langley dyke seems to get targeted every year. Was interested in a boat last year only to hear later outboard had been stolen. Must be very unnerving for owners in this area.
  9. Could you edit topic title please
  10. Came past the Ferry Inn at Horning this afternoon and could not believe the state of the rubbish collection point. There was rubbish spilling all over the bins and on the floor. It looked as though they have not been emptied this year. What ever must visitors think when they see this mess. Not what you would expect to see in a National Park.
  11. I have heard one and seen one when I have been out at Cockshoot for the dawn chorus
  12. Even the plates at the carveries are getting smaller. No decrease in price though.
  13. I liked it when on hitting another Barge he told Prunella it was a "contact sport".I wonder how many times we will hear that when we get hit when mooring up especially on a windy day.
  14. Very interesting programme last night. So much better than Barging around Britain. Makes cruising the Broads look a doddle.
  15. Received my toll renewal this morning and did not think a 1.7% increase was that bad.
  16. The new website looks very good Mark. Hope it brings you plenty of work. Will certainly put number in my phone book.
  17. Found last nights programme better than last weeks, having said that I did enjoy the first one as have never been on the canals but certainly made my wife interested but not going to sell the boat and buy a barge. Not this year anyway. ! !!!!!!!
  18. I bet they were surprised to see a customer in the Lodge at this time of the year.Always been a good pub/restaurant.Very nice to sit outside in the summer.
  19. Good to see you back Howard, keep the pictures coming. Not long before I get out again.
  20. Enjoyed watching it but like Retired said not enough time spent on the water. As it is only the first of 8 programmes a bit too early to judge yet.
  21. Must say the toilets in Yarmouth are always very clean. Not so many years ago the main ones had an attendant during the day. You can see why they are costing so much to maintain.
  22. Just heard that the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads are to be branded as the Broads National Park without legally becoming a National Park. This done to boost tourism. ????
  23. Spring is on the way.saw some Snowdrops out in the woods this morning when walking the dog.

    Sunk?

I hope your calculations are correct as showing 6ft under Wroxham Bridge at the moment. This is the highest it has been for a while.
  25. Lovely to meet you and Mrs Nog this afternoon at Horning really enjoying your log and your pics,
