I have a boat with a 6ft 4inch air draft and 8ft beam. what minimum height would members recommend to go under Wroxham bridge. I have been under at 7ft 3in but would like to go under more often so there fore would like some advice.
I have recently read an article in Angling Times stating that EA have come to an arrangement with the Police for them(the police) to check licenses. Until I read this I thought it was just the E A who checked them. Perhaps Wild Fuzz could clarify this.
Had to smile , has anyone else seen the sign at the entrance to Wroxham Broad. It says WROXHAM WEEK NO RIFF RAFF.Is that what people who don't own a White boat or a Gin palace are known as. Welcome to the Norfolk Broads.
If people are so concerned about other peoples behaviour why not set up a river version of Community Speed Watch.I don't go on the Broads to listen to a loud hailer. I say just let the Rangers do their job.
Why not do what the car hire companies do and take credit card details and if any damage found on return money comes off credit cards straight away. Sometimes this runs to a lot of money if excess waiver ins not taken out.
When out on the river today saw a private boat with a big sign in the window saying "Good morning". I am not a committed waver but could not resist a wave and a good morning as we passed.
We are not miserable old gits really , its just that the novelty wears off after a while. Will make sure I wave to you Gracie next time you are on the river if you let us know the name of the boat you are on. This is just for you :wave :wave :wave
I try not to make eye contact with people so they don't bother to wave .When you are out on the river a lot it gets a bit tiring after a while but will always wave back if people do wave. I'm just a miserable old git I suppose but I do spend a lot of time on the river.
