  3. I have recently read an article in Angling Times stating that EA have come to an arrangement with the Police for them(the police) to check licenses. Until I read this I thought it was just the E A who checked them. Perhaps Wild Fuzz could clarify this.
  4. Do the Broads Beat check fishing licences as I am sure a lot of fisherman in more remote areas only accessible by boat are fishing without a license?

    Speeding

If people are so concerned about other peoples behaviour why not set up a river version of Community Speed Watch.I don't go on the Broads to listen to a loud hailer. I say just let the Rangers do their job.
  9. When I go to Oxford from Norwich always use this route. You might get held up in Bedford but prefer this to being stuck on the M25.
  10. I thought Air ambulance was run as a charity so if this is correct no charge to NHS etc. Correct me if I am wrong. .
  11. Was in Loddon yesterday and can see the attraction of going South. If I didn't have such a fantastic mooring would move South again.
  12. We always use bottled water for tea and coffee etc . As we live in a hard water area we always enjoy the luxury of bottled water on the boat.
  13. Why not do what the car hire companies do and take credit card details and if any damage found on return money comes off credit cards straight away. Sometimes this runs to a lot of money if excess waiver ins not taken out.
  14. Well done Ray, nice to see someone admit to making mistakes sometimes It just goes to prove however experienced you are things can go wrong. Tony
  15. Great to see web cam working again. A lot better viewing than Sunday night telly
  16. When out on the river today saw a private boat with a big sign in the window saying "Good morning". I am not a committed waver but could not resist a wave and a good morning as we passed.
  17. A car hire company I worked for charge £10 to ring DVLA to get your licence checked if you do not have your paper licence with you.
  18. I called myself a miserable old git Gracie( I am not really).
  19. We are not miserable old gits really , its just that the novelty wears off after a while. Will make sure I wave to you Gracie next time you are on the river if you let us know the name of the boat you are on. This is just for you :wave :wave :wave
  20. I try not to make eye contact with people so they don't bother to wave .When you are out on the river a lot it gets a bit tiring after a while but will always wave back if people do wave. I'm just a miserable old git I suppose but I do spend a lot of time on the river.
  21. Enjoyed reading your posts again Howard. Tony. We were out yesterday and heard Cuckoo for first time. The Bure so quiet at Woodbastwick.
  22. Every one must have been on the Northern rivers as have never seen the Southern rivers so quiet.
