Went to the Ferry Inn at Horning for lunch one Sunday and just stopped to look at boats at NYA,yes you've guessed finished up buying a Freeman 23.Had to sell my Shetland then. Sold Freeman last year due to major surgery and was not going to buy another. being bored one day looked at a brokers web site and a week I was the owner of a Shetland 610. The best impulse buy I have ever made as it came with a very sought after mooring.

What a lovely trip,made me wish I had not covered boat for winter.Must take the dog for a walk along the river this afternoon after reading that.

The Kings head reopens this weekend after major( not before time) refurb. Will be interesting to see how prices have changed. Use it quite a lot in Summer. I did not realise we have lost some moorings up from railway bridge. Have not been able to get under bridge for a while now.

Had a small Mayland once. When I bought it the name had been removed,but when you looked carefully you could see it had been called Little Tart.

There is a new purpose built slipway at Belaugh. A lovely stretch of river and very quiet.

I always appreciate help when mooring but always like to tie my own ropes. We all seem to have our own way of tying up .Most people will say I will leave you to tie up.What annoys me is when you are attempting to moor up in poor cnditions people just stand and watch you struggle.

Hi Baitrunner,the camera was bought on the internet from China for £20.

A friend has fixed one of these cameras on the back of his boat so he can monitor the water outlet from his outboard via a screen on the dash A very good idea especially when on the upper Bure between Wroxham and Coltshal especially in Summer when river is badly weeded up.

Put a Thetford 365 in my Freeman and found it very comfortable. This model is also one of the higher ones on the market. Got mine off ebay.This model has a piston pump which gives a very good flush.

I had the same phone call but when they said the survey would take 20 minutes I told them I would not participate. Until I now read other members posts I thought it was a scam call.

I had a Sea Wolf in a Freeman 23 and would use 0.75 gallons per hour at normal cruising with 2 on board. Good luck hope you find what you want.
