I'm afraid this is going to be repeated all over the country. It's one thing encouraging people to go electric, but without the capacity to provide the oomph, we can't move on. Even now, users of overnight cheap rate electric for car charging are having their scheduled start times staggered to alleviate the "hit" on supply that would come if all the car chargers turned on at once. All new EV home chargers must now come with a means for the energy supplier to remotely monitor and control them. It's all a stop gap anyway, until hydrogen comes online.

Although designated footpaths are usually the responsibility of the County Council, some paths we use are down to local authorities. A few years back, I found the path at the end of the boardwalk from Brundall Church Fen BA moorings to the village to be almost impassable. I raised a query to Brundall Parish council, who very quickly had it cleared. Who is responsible for what isn't easily established, leading to nobody being responsible for anything!

I stand corrected. From the BA website: "Are there any main areas that are exempt and are not considered adjacent waters? Any waters which are used, whether for mooring or navigation only, by an occupant of an adjoining residential dwelling." I presume that to mean, as long as the vessel doesn't move onto the main navigation.

I seem to recall a big discussion here a few years back about "adjacent waters", but lost the will to live after a few pages! So I'm probably wrong!

Got to have tax, whether private mooring or not, and yes, to get said tax, got to have a BSS certificate. That's the rules - not always followed by some, and it takes a long while for the authority to take meaningful action, in some cases.

Air can get through a pipe quicker than liquid/toilet mush. The vent pipe should be just that - to vent the tank. Of course there must be a way of getting air in, but the pipe doesn't need to be the same diameter as the sucky out pipe (1.5 or 1.75 ins). Never seen a vent skin fitting that size.

Depends on the size of the tank and skin fittings - just get one that fits!

Not at all, Matt. I won't post the details on the open forum, but let's say the purchasers had a "life event" just after Sunbird was acquired. That's probably the reason she's now on the market. A good buy, I reckon - but I would say that, wouldn't I?

I had a sapphire 32, so am familiar with them generally. One piece of advice, in mind of an incident previously discussed, please ensure you and any crew likely to use the dual helms, fully understand the correct operation of the system. Apologies if I'm telling you what you already know.

Confirmed or estimated? Don't hold your breath!! Even "confirmed" delivery dates are being pushed back at present, due to "unforeseen component shortages beyond our control". Some Teslas have even been delivered minus USB ports and various bits of non-essential electronics, in an effort to keep delivery dates.

Buy an "endurance" rated memory card. They are much longer lasting in dashcams, as they are made for the job. Bit more expensive but worth it for peace of mind. I had terrible problems with my Nextbase cam, even with their own brand cards. Had no trouble at all after installing an endurance card.

Rene's local chippie always has rock eel (rock salmon, huss whatever you want to call it), and it's always good. The Churchills at Pitsea never have it. In the good ol' days, all chippies had a good range of all fish - skate was my mum's fave, haddock, rock, plaice, even sole. Nowadays, most just have cod or haddock. The market adjusts down to whatever the public demands, I suppose.

Fitted one on my boat, and had no trouble in the 3 years before I sold it. They give a constant flow at the taps/showers, with no temperature fluctuations. Wish I'd done it years previously, totally transformed the water system performance.

How are your finances? 😁. If you want to spend, rip it all out, and put in a variable speed pump - no need for accumulator tank, and constant pressure at all times.
