  1. Confirmed or estimated? Don't hold your breath!! Even "confirmed" delivery dates are being pushed back at present, due to "unforeseen component shortages beyond our control". Some Teslas have even been delivered minus USB ports and various bits of non-essential electronics, in an effort to keep delivery dates.
  2. Never mind - it'll fit in whatever replacement you get. You will get a replacement, if yours is dead, I trust?
  3. This is what you're looking for: https://www.ebuyer.com/842779-samsung-32gb-pro-endurance-microsd-card-with-adapter-mb-mj32ga-eu Although showing out of stock from this seller, you should be able to track them down somewhere in the Webbiverse!
  4. Buy an "endurance" rated memory card. They are much longer lasting in dashcams, as they are made for the job. Bit more expensive but worth it for peace of mind. I had terrible problems with my Nextbase cam, even with their own brand cards. Had no trouble at all after installing an endurance card.
  5. Rene's local chippie always has rock eel (rock salmon, huss whatever you want to call it), and it's always good. The Churchills at Pitsea never have it. In the good ol' days, all chippies had a good range of all fish - skate was my mum's fave, haddock, rock, plaice, even sole. Nowadays, most just have cod or haddock. The market adjusts down to whatever the public demands, I suppose.
  6. Fitted one on my boat, and had no trouble in the 3 years before I sold it. They give a constant flow at the taps/showers, with no temperature fluctuations. Wish I'd done it years previously, totally transformed the water system performance.
  7. How are your finances? 😁. If you want to spend, rip it all out, and put in a variable speed pump - no need for accumulator tank, and constant pressure at all times.
  8. I think the Railway cottage could be the one on the track up from the Worlingham BA mooring. But they all were built pretty much alike!!
  9. Don't forget your gauges are voltage devices. If you do have an electrical issue, that will affect the readings. Sort out whatever your electrical problem is first.
  10. I used to have a shed behind my garage. I haven't now. Well, the framework is there, but the roof and two walls are gone, splintered beyond repair. Never mind, some folk are without power, and have 3 feet of water in their living rooms. Mustn't grumble.

    Roadworks 2022

End of financial year approaches - cue roadworks begun to secure funds for the next year. It happens every year, in every county.
  12. We've got cat's eyes on the road, surely we could use fish eyes?
  13. I have some duplicates Hearts, Hippersons, Powles, Southgates, Richardsons, Ward, Windboats, Woods. Or if you want to sell, I'd be interested, at the right price.
  14. I have read that there was a row of cottages directly inland of the moorings. Numbered 5 to 11. The demolished terrace were 1 to 4.
  15. According to Sheila those cottages were demolished in 1957. So what are the buildings there now?
  16. As others have said, don't worry about osmosis. Almost all fibreglass boats of a certain age will have blisters. Mine did when I bought it, and had no worse when I sold it 20 years later. It wasn't mentioned as a bargaining point on sale either. It's expected.
  17. Hmmm, I have this, but I don't know from when.
  18. I had a crush on Carol Vorderman - until I was a contestant on Countdown. Snootiest, unfriendly piece of work I've had the misfortune of meeting. Keith Barron in dictionary corner was a delight to meet. "Never meet your heroes" don't they say?
  19. Normal practice is blue and red flexible, or proprietary push fit plastic. Not sure what the correct name is. Copper fittings can be used, but it's not generally used for pipe runs.
  20. Better than the raucous clatter of a pressure pump at full whack in the middle of the night!
  21. No, boat. Jabsco V-Flo. Should have said constant pressure, variable speed pump in my post. The pump made a world of difference compared to the pulsing and therefore varying pressure from the old pump/accumulator set up we had.
  22. If anyone is thinking of updating/changing their water system, I can recommend a variable pressure pump. They're VERY expensive, but there's continuous pressure assured at all times (no pulsing, very good for thermostatic mixer valves), they're quiet enough that you won't hear them in the night if someone wants a drink, and there's no need for an accumulator tank. Not a project to do for the sake of it, but worth considering if you need to rip your old stuff out anyway!
