  1. "I wanna go to Lakeside" ( the old ones are the best)
  2. My guesses. 1 Coltishall 2 Belaugh 3 Ferry Inn Horning (might need some research to find the correct answer) 4 Stracey Arms moorings
  3. I only had 1 of those in my answers, and obviously it weren't no 4
  4. I honestly don't think I've ever heard anyone who likes whisky say they like Teachers!!! I rarely drink it but Glenmorangie would be my choice. It's OK and I have good reason not to try anything else. It's an expensive mistake if you get it wrong and my Dad once bought me a single malt that was truly disgusting. Wish I could remember what it was to warn you.
  5. ....from boat to bar. 1) Shortest walk from a BA mooring to a pub bar? 2) Longest walk from a BA mooring to a pub bar? 3) Shortest walk from a non BA mooring to a pub bar? 4) Longest walk from a non BA mooring to a pub bar? Non BA mooring = a recognised mooring location, wild moorings not allowed. Northern broads only, just for fun, no prizes on offer, try not to use google maps. Plus, I don't know the correct answers, I'll let you know what I think later.
  6. You're in someone else's bed and don't want to be there?
  7. We hadn't quite reached there yet... I was going slow, last day
  8. You know your stuff... Yeah, about 7 in the morning.
  9. The forward steers are not so bad if all they have is a sliding sunroof, it it's a full/split sliding roof we take a couple of old duvet covers, stuff 'em in the gaps. Works a treat. When we had Fair Prince we could never be bothered with that cover, mind it weren't that cold though.
  10. I like your photos, you weren't helped by that bright white light though. I am no photography expert but over the years my eyes have taught me things. For me your last photo is the best, lacks a bit of sharpness and a touch more boat in the foreground would be good but the reflections are there and a great sense of depth with the quay heading disappearing in the distance. Now please don't think I'm being picky, I like to think constructive. This is a tiny adjustment to your second picture. Just by straightening the quay heading makes it a better picture IMO, you don't even need software for that, just eyes. Post some more soon, If it works??
  11. On the Ant. Upstream of Hunsett, downstream of Wayford...ish
  12. Everything that has been mentioned, plus proper mugs and proper glasses. Drinking ones. Another vote for a sharp knife. A milk crate, a couple of ceramic wall tiles, (small ones) and some potting compost.
  13. Two great athletes, that's for sure. The relay was a funny one......threw the BBC for a bit, it was as if they had a pre written script. They weren't expecting that result and had to quickly throw it away. Maybe now Usain will ditch Virgin and do something similar to Gareth Southgate, perhaps a deal with the AA advertising breakdown insurance.
  14. Shame... got just a bit excited when I saw this, sadly all a tad larger than we were looking for. Never mind, something will come up.
  15. I'll offer £6000.. your move (I feel we could be here for a while)
  16. Don't you mean your murds fuddled?? Lot's of things make me smile, the grandkids mostly, but laugh, a proper belly laugh. They just seem to happen, the stars align, usually when you least expect it. Then you try to explain it to someone who wasn't there and it falls flat. Surely you've all been there.
  17. It won't work..... how will you know I'm waving at you and how will I know you're there? We got offered help leaving Reedham once. Even though we were confident we could manage we still accepted the help. We always accept any offers of help. Tell you why. There are people like Wussername all over the broads who are willing to stop what they're doing (even if it is just sitting on a wall) to offer help. If their offers are regularly turned down they may decide not to bother anymore, then come the time you need help there's no one around. Plus it's polite. Thanks Wusser.
  18. Please explain what cause that noise, As a non sailor it is actually a lovely sound.. of peace and tranquillity. Love hearing it but wouldn't want to spend a night with it.
  19. I've never sailed, so help me. When I'm near a marina I hear a clink, clink ,clunk, clink, clunk from the masts of moored yachts, when the wind is above beaufort 1. Do you have to put up with that all night or is it just a marina thing.
  20. Brilliant, enjoyed that.....more suitable for white water rafting maybe?
  21. I hope I didn't give anyone the impression we charge around with music at full volume, far from it. If we have music on and are passing moored boats it gets turned down to a whisper, not that it was loud to begin with. We too love the "sound of the broads" especially early morning and most definitely when moored up for the evening, but getting from Yarmouth to Stokesby surely a little company is good. As Ricardo said, horses for courses. Timbo mentioned some names I'd never heard of, got too look them up. Status Quo, loved them, first band I saw live, Finsbury Park Rainbow, has to be loud though. Dire Staits, love them, has to be loud though.
  22. Here you go.. Mrs W loves it, me to, just a shame Bruce let his wife anywhere near a microphone. This is better for cruising
  23. edited for you... You know what, reading your post, Carole King,, she'd work on the rivers. Bruce is just on a different level, Mrs W don't agree, but she does like one a lot... I'll try and find it.
