I was on the coast in 87 in Eastbourne when Sevenoaks became Oneoak, walls were blown down and vans tipped over, sheds landed in neighbours gardens and so on. And I slept right through it!

If you do go this route then do not buy an ex summer hire boat as they simply have not been fitted out for the colder months.
