Do, it's a lovely house but quite hard to imagine as a pub now. I will try and find that photo, give you all a laugh
-
Think it was about 40 years ago, certainly 70's when I went in. I was very young of course
-
Certainly was, cracking little pub. I've got a photo of me propped up outside, I might post it sometime if I can find it.

Thanks M, yes, think Woods and Richardsons have a few out as half term is early this year. Few ankle biters about. I'm not sure I could do shorts and T shirt but it's certainly very warm for the time of year. We are here until 19th and hopefully be heading your direction (ish) mid week

Aw, wish I'd known, could have given you a wave! Hope we weren't speeding

For anyone who is interested Ludham showing barely 7 feet 3 inch Good job it's an Alphacraft!
-
Aw, thanks Kate, here with you in spirit at least! Hope the paint job doesn't take too long and you'll be afloat again soon. Back with Bridgecraft again in May so I'm sure you'll be up and about by then

Good comments re the cash and very fair points . I'm probably old school and do cash with everything but need to move with the times! The Swan gets the gold award for not closing early, busy too, very impressed
-
It is a shame MM, feels like back to where we were in December. Thanks goodness for low air draught Alphacrafts! Booted out of the New Inn, luckily Swan still open. And yes, CC, London Pride well tended, apart from the froth
-
Ah, take it from the 'green' you're not afloat KP Could have bought you a pint too When are you back?
-
It was very well kept I have to say. I think the Swan is the best pub in Horning by some distance. Called time in New Inn (surprise, surprise) so back to the Swan
-
Ferry accessible by foot - only just! The lane has numerous deep puddles but can be skirted with care. New Inn not kicked us out - yet.... Also using sparklers, baffled, had to ask for a top up, unheard of in Norfolk
-
Staithe now full of fishermen Glad we got in early Be intersting to see if anyone else wants to moor up!

There was, just around the corner, an HSBC if memory serves? Not sure the Nat West didn't have one too. Assume the one in the convenience store is free to use?
-
Indeed Think it's Greene King so no shortage of cash! Thanks for th he heads up Jean BTW, one to cross off the list
-
It's on the Thames though. Cost a bit to transport it assuming you could lift at that end. Looks a good price though unless there's something wrong with it.

The buses from Acle village run every half hour. About a half hour walk from Acle Bridge. Footpath a bit muddy in winter (been there etc)

Absolutely, we should give them every support we can That's another must visit on my list. Mrs Nog's gin bill should pay the chefs wages for a while
