Happy Birthday to you. You enjoy your steak and chips. Got plenty of mustard? We need some 'hot stuff' on Christmas Day. Only two us and we are having the works. Spent the last two days preparing it all. There is a method in my madness, from today I can relax a bit, other than , doing magic with left overs.

Sorry but I have to just say that my nephew has been called to the hospital immediately, my sister's time is short. Not good.

My sister as you know who is in hospital has now tested positive for Covid. She is in a very protected area and still has managed to catch it. At the present time, no symptoms but is being given steroids for her lungs.

We are far too fussy now by far. I never go by dates but the look and sniff test. We have these uber efficient fridges and freezers. They didn't need vaccinations years ago they relied on germs keeping you healthy. In all serious though they rarely lived very long. My Nan at 70 was really a little old lady. Well if someone called me that today I would dock them one. Getting back to Howard's post. How long are you here for Howard?

No fear of anything going out of date on this house. As a late Aunt said to me many many years ago, well its not for looking at. She use to scare me to death as a child. At the time she was referring to the salad. In our house you at the pain of death helped yourself to anything. We are all dead a long time, so enjoy your holiday. You certainly make the most of it.

Now it has cooled I have tasted once more and to be honest it didnt taste too bad. Perhaps the flavours have had time to mingle a bit. I did not add the sage but may do on the day. It is in the fridge doing its final cooling off and then off to the freezer. I have appreciate your input.

As Olive Oil would say, save me same me. I have made my Bread Sauce in readiness for the big day it will be going in the Freezer. Trouble is despite infusing as instructed with onion cloves etc. To be quite Frank it is tasteless. I have seasoned well added grated nutmeg and best butter. . What more can I do please. Can you chaps who I know are cooks come up with a suggestion.

Thank you Jean. I have once more asked for a letter and I will let you know if the Booster is on there. I usually keep our letters in what I call my holiday box file because apart from going on holiday and that in is in the UK anyway , we are not nightclubbers , but you never know if time will come when you have to provide all this information when going to a restaurant.

I have an nhs letter confirming I have had 2 vaccinations, is there going to be a letter confirming you have had the third jab.

Out of the blue 2 days ago I received an email purporting to be from Freemans. I dont have a Freemans account which kind of threw me a bit. It said and it looked completely authentic that an unauthorised order had just been made and paid for by my PayPal account. This was for a total of £399 plus £4.50 postage. Immediately I was in a panic and then I thought where it said click here to prevent this order going through, I will ignore that and have a look at my Paypal account by a different route. I did just this and could not see any such amount. I got on to their message centre immediately and good on them they came back within the hour to me. In the meantime I put this email into the Spam. Paypal said they could not see any unauthorised movement on my account but to keep an eye. Said I had to forward the email to their Spoof department which I did. Anyone having a Freemans account could be completely fooled into clicking on their link and giving away priceless information. Be Careful.

There is always one and we have one lives in Canada - really anti vax. In Canada he can now no longer take the mini league , go to a library, church the places are endless. I have had many a conversation and some of the tripe and that is only expression I can use that he talks is unbelievable. Reckons that Besos or a name like that says it the governments way of sorting out the worlds population. There is - wait for it - a chip inserted in your arm so that you can be monitored. Well they can monitor me whenever they like because they would be bored to death within 2 days. I mean he is an educated man and he believes all this rubbish. At 76 I will take my chances and every jab that is offered I will be first in the queue and eternally grateful for it.

I am pleased to report that Morrisons in Beccles , as you go into the store there is a sign right across where you walk and it says , to enter the store you must be wearing a mask and if you have not got one, one will be provided. That is why I feel so safe in there, everyone wearing masks and certainly deliberately keeping their distance, really jumping out of the way if you came near. People are getting really worried about this.

Pity it cannot be put in the water then we would get a dose of vaccination like it or not bit like fluoride.
