Hello Monica, That was Bisuiteer, who was giving a report on their holiday on the Northern & Southern Broads. Here is the topic:- Reedham & Somerleyton Bridges work as a pair of bridge because of the short distance between them in rail miles. They will not open if a train is due at either location. Regards Alan
There is currently a rumour going around that the New Inn is opening today.
Having looked on the local online press I can see no confirmation of this.
If the pub is to reopen again this would be good for all crews at the start of the season.
I hope it is not a rumour, we could make this one of our overnight stays when we are down at the Broads in just over a weeks time.
Any confirmation is welcomed.
Regards
Alan
Hello Iain, In our information pages is information regarding Broads WiFi. http://www.thenorfolkbroads.net/forum/forum/7-visiting-the-broads/ Click on the link then click on Broads Wifi. When on the Marina I use the Tingdene WiFi, else where I tend to use my phone as a portable WiFi, the results are reasonable other than Horning or Loddon (in Loddon there is area less a couple of square metres where you can get any phone reception). Regards Alan
I was not on the forum this morning, it must be the first time in ages, I didn't get out of bed until 6.40am, I was chained to the kitchen getting Tan's packup ready, chicken, rice, peas and things with a side salard.
So I missed all the fun it seems.
Well done Alan

Alan
Sadly this can happen anywhere, where the boat is laying is where we normally turn around doing an elongated circle waiting for the bridge to open. At the other side of the bridge is a floating pontoon for demasting/mooring, the current there is very strong so crews mooring up need to do it swiftly or they could be stranded. I hope they manage to recover the boat safely. Regards Alan
Hi Iain,
Its a good job the web cam police do not have our insight into Grace's video hobby.
The fines are very heavy and involve the use of a confiscation order.
So Grace watch out for those shoes! You have been warned!
Regards
Alan
Hello Mandy,
Careful you are turning into another Grace, you may have to go out and buy new shoes, by all accounts it is allowed at least by Graces husband.
Regards
Alan
Hi Steve,
On ours I like yourself put the toggle through the top ring and just tied off the string on the bottom ring.
Your way looks ok to me, but I prefer knots.
Keep flying our NBN flag

Alan
To be honest we always moor on the inside floating pontoons at the yacht station it is the only way to get some sleep, the outside pontoons are great for watching the Powerboat Racing but the continual slapping of the waves on the hull does nothing in regards to a nights sleep. Regards Alan
I am glad to get to the end of the New Cut, nothing to see, just chugging along for what seems mile upon mile of what feels like a run down waterway in sad need of maintenance.
It even make the journey from Reedham to Breydon almost refreshing.
Regards
Alan
Parking is always difficult at horning and taking the ability to park on one side of this service road away will only make matters worse. I believe it was done to stop parking there so it would not spoil the view of the green from the river, I wonder if they will also stop the mooring? I bet the pub & shops are up in arms over this decision. Regards Alan
Nothing on the Broads Authority website regarding a closure of Breydon Water.
I am not surprised however if they took the decision to stop vessels going across, I wonder if it is the Coast Guard, RNLI or Rangers that may be doing this? It is hardly going to be SOB.
I hope our owner going on the boat today waits until the wind drops somewhat before venturing out onto the river.
We had high winds and rain throughout the night, the bins go out tonight, we have recycling boxes in the garden this morning, glad the neigbours only put plastic bottles and tins in there rather than paper.
Regards
Alan
Hi guy's
Dave is replacing the rubber with I assume a hardwood rubbing strip and then fitting a D section to match what is fitted towards the stern.
