  3. I might be wrong, but I think the bleeding process just involves repeating the start up until the unit will continue to run?
  4. I'm guessing you won't need a fishing rod to bring the fish to the surface with that setup Andy

  8. I assume you have checked to make sure the flush water seacock is open Biggles?
  9. Very true Barry! A tapping with a rubber mallet whilst held upside down also helps to get the powder on the move again
  10. Yes I agree with Neil, it would be a crime to spoil those lines with one of those hideous Sat jobbies
  11. She looks awesome Clive! The guys must be feeling very proud.
  12. Does that system not have a canister type filter on the hydraulic pump Clive? Though unlikely to be the problem anyway as the systems run so clean anyway.
  13. After checking the fluid level, I would also check that the cable is moving the lever far enough into the reverse position?
  14. That's the greaser for the stern gland. You give that a turn clockwise every once in a while to inject a little more grease into the gland.
  15. The system on my Bounty uses Teresstic T46 hydraulic oil, but as Jonzo has stated, mixing different grades of oil will cause them to curdle, resulting in pump cavitation and an expensive strip down and clean To give you a clue Teresstic T46 is clear to look at.
  16. Prior to my last BSS I had mine serviced so the stickers were all upto date etc. It cost be roughly twice as much as it would have to buy new ones Won't be going down that route again
  17. Welcome to the forum Steve I think your questions are being answered on your other thread.

  19. I think that mast head light is going to be an awful drain on your batteries
  20. That was the part I couldn't really understand Ian. It's one thing going through the correct protocol etc but in the end common sense would tell you to get the hell out of it's way surely? We had a similar situation whilst fishing off Whitby.A container ship was bearing down on us and attempts by the skipper to radio the ship failed, so we all reeled in and got out of it's way. As it passed by our skipper said it looked like nobody was on the bridge and reported it to the coast guard.Being one of the local RNLI crew, he wasn't impressed to say the least, but wasn't about to sit there and let it run us down just because we were in the right I guess when you only get one side of the story, like in this case it's hard to judge really?
  21. Challenger looks great! I love the ply that has been used throughout
