  1. Paul, I think you might be correct. I took the lense off the camera tonight and the body still worked and took a picture so I will give the basic type a go. Hope to have a good clear night on the broads this weekend! Thanks Ian
  2. Hi, This is the number of the items on Ebay, sorry unable to do a link. 250400295623 With the auto focus confirm chip. 290312339551 Just a plain ring I was thinking is it something to do with the auto focus on/off switch being on the lense not the camera. Ian
  3. Hi, The T2 is a very old system for lenses with manual set f stops. I think the metric mounting thread was a revolution at the time! Ian
  4. Hi, I now have a T2 adapter for my telescope and now require a T2 mount to fit my EOS400d. I can see there are two types one with a (focus?) chip and the plain cheaper type. Will the plain type be OK? Thanks Ian
  5. Hi Perry, That might be the case but do they do free delivery? Ian
  6. Hi Simon, I might be asking about T2 mounts as I intend to fit my Canon to a Meade ETX105! Ian

  9. Hi, David the fogging oil for laying up the outboards worked a treat and both started after a few pulls Ian
  10. Hi, Had an update from Simon, he has had his major operation and it was a complicated one lasting over 8 hours and he ended back in ITU for a while. He has a few more operations to come but he is hoping to get back to the UK in a few weeks time. He puts down the fact that his shattered leg took all the impact is why he is still alive. I think we all wish Simon a rapid recovery Ian
  11. Hi, At one point I did think about a 30w panel. Is there any problem with leaving the panel with no load on if the battery is not connected? Ian
  12. Hi, Very worried now, Your customers are food! Ian
  13. Hi David, I will have to get a sign for the hull *this is not GRP* Ian ( 3 weeks to go )

  15. Hi, Bigfoot, a neat bit of equipment, I assumed it would be higher. Now I can see how you can get the boats under the low bits of the sheds. Ian
  16. Good traditional Engineering Ian
  17. Hi, Good to get an inside view of a working yard. Looking at all the boats packed in there it reminds me of a Summer Sunday morning on the Bure Just out of curiosity how do you move the boats about on land? Ian
  18. Hi, A good present of a reprieve from Trinity House - Happy 400th birthday to the Lowestoft light Ian
  19. Hi, AdnamsGirl, thanks for all the good info. Re the wartime boat crews on the Broads I had found this, bit on the boats (third page of text) about Jack Powles Navy. http://www.themarlpit.com/themagazine/d ... 202005.pdf Hope the link works. Ian
  20. Hi, Filling up the car at the garage today the pump was working quite slowly. When I went to pay the lady was about to shut down the pump and remarked she hoped that the tank filter was not clogged with the Diesel Bug, as other garages were starting to have problems. She also said that the Bio Diesel mixes were more prone to the problem. There are some EU regulations about increasing the levels of Bio Diesel in fuels so the problem might increase. Ian
  21. Well you do not trim a sail for half power, and what is this full stop setting? Thanks all for a very good evening and trip out, we both enjoyed it very much. Ian ( 16 weeks time) Meanwhile,
  22. Hi, I might be worth looking at getting a sailing/row boat from the hire yard. These are good fun and can help with pub access, as often the moorings out side the pub will be full, but there will be moorings free on the opposite bank. Get the yard to show you how to use the mudweight and use it to moor one night on a Broad and watch the sunset. Have Fun Ian
  23. Hi, This has turned into an interesting thread. Thanks for the info Clive and welcome to the site. I notice on the advert for the R Kemp and Co. there is a logo for an International Exhibition but I can not see the date is it 1885? Ian
