  3. Hi Seadog-I,m sure it was you I passed in the opposite direction going down the Ant just before How Hill yesterday the 1st.I recognise the face from your avitar and saw the NBN flag flying. I was on Sandpiper heading back to Sutton.Enjoy the rest of your holiday Boycee
  4. Hi Mark I think you are absolutely correct.I actually asked Kevin at Sutton Staithe Boatyard who is a registered Corgi Gas Fitter that if I was not happy with the Electric Fridge they fitted for me could I revert back to gas & he said that he was not now allowed to put a Gas Fridge back into a boat once an Electric Fridge was in place.Furthermore only Electric Fridges can be fitted to new build boats. 5. Hi Guys Just like to thank all of you for a great weekend-Mags & I throughly enjoyed ourselves.A big thanks to Sue,Hank,Pete,Roya,Gandalf & Tina for organising the whole thing & also all at The Dog for providing some great food, good beer & excellent facilities-Well done Geoff, super BBQ chef.Sorry we did not get to say goodbye on Sunday but a decision was made on a quick exit so we could get moorings at Coltishall. Jon,Sheena Mags & I really enjoyed playing for you & would love to do so again if asked. It was also good to put names to faces & meet you all "in the flesh", but Colin's Saturday morning dip followed by Dave's ingenious invention to cut the "rogue" underpants from Happy Jax was one of the highlights of the Weekend Thanks again Alan & Mags
  6. Hi people Just picked up this thread-Used to steralise my water tank with Tabs but around 5 years ago had an in-line filter fitted to the cold water system prior to it reaching any Taps-Providing it is changed every couple of years I have to say it has been a big success & is a lot easier to manage. However SWMBO insists that water from the cold taps should not be used for drinking purposes on Sandpiper, hence we always have a couple of large Spring Water Bottles on board. We do however use it when we brush our teeth, but otherwise boil it first for Hot Drinks etc & we have had no problems to date-touch wood.I believe these filters are obtainable from most boat chandlers and are relatively easy to fit, although being a lazy guy, the Boatyard fitted mine Boycee
  7. Hi Johnny Bit of a speacialist jobs having your windows done & ensuring they are resealed properly-Rob at Sutton Staithe brings a specailist in to do it to ensure they are water tight.Make sure you get a firm quote & guarantee whoever does the job-glad to hear you are getting your throttle cables sorted out at lat Boycee
  8. Had it on good authority when I was on The Broads last week that Len Funnel who owns Ferry Boatyard & Waveney River Centre has indeed bought The Aston Boats Fleet but not the yard, which as I understand it is being kept open for repairs, maintainance, pump outs etc Boycee
  9. Now Rod you know if I described in graphic detail what real ale does to your"constitution"(Wouldn,t really call it that but still)-I,d probablly get a life ban from the moderators-suffice to say you could empty Wembley stadium faster than an England defeat with one of your "SPECIALS" mate Alan
  10. Never in doubt Perry-he is a home banker where beer is concerned but in fairness him & Shirl are great company. He did ring me just after I sent you the post & said he would be there as he felt he needed to replenish his alchol levels Alan
  11. Hey Perry you have just said the magic words to Rod-Drink & Real Ale-knowing him he will get there somehow-what say you Rodders ? Boycee
  12. Gandalf & princess martina you have just exhonerated yourself-My Bongos were bouncing and none of you lot turned up-but you have a more than valid excuse so we will let you off -as for Jo another no show we shall have to wait for her return before we pass judgement-seroiusly though good to meet you guys and I'm sur there will be lots more gigs to come to in the future Cheer Boycee Al
