Pyes Mill moorings are owned by the Parish Council. The first boat you meet as you approach the moorings from the Yare end has now been there for a least 3 years and is chained to a fence post at the stern. Having just spent a couple of days there, there are at least 4 more liveaboards on the mooring but only two have shown any sign of life.I guess they will stay there until the Parish Council moves them on or they get fed up and find another mooring Boycee

There are 2 water, pumpout & fuel facilities in Beccles at Quayside boats(the old Aston Boats yard ) & Hippersons- good service at both Boycee

Well love him or hate him Rooney had an excellent game today and proved his worth to England regardless of your mockery of his ears. Sorry Ian you sound like a biased "plastic scouser" whereas I am a genuine born & bred Mancunian. Remember the only ship that has never sailed into Liverpool is The Premiership Boycee

According to a reliable source the chick was the victim of continuous pecking by the intrudent female which does not bode well for the rest of the brood unless the male interveens Boycee

Pleased to report all BA fenders in correct positions when we met at Oulton Broad Friday 3rd. Had a beer with Griff in Broadview on Fri night - must say the beer was better than his jokes but it he made Mags laugh. They left this morning for the return trip north but a crowd of us are having a meal at the Commodore tonight to celebrate Mags big 60 birthday. Boycee -
Just moored there for two nights most of the mooring finished with the exception of some down boards and top timbers in places which I believe are planned to be completed very soon.Shale pathway has been put down on the moorings in front of the pub, Sonia has certainly spent some money. By the way the food we had there was as usual plentiful and excellent Boycee

Left Sutton at 6.40 this morning and arrived safely with no real wind or tide problems at Ferry House Surlingham this afternoon. Passed B A at How Hill but no sign of life. Big gusts apparently set for tonight between between 1 & 2 AM. Not sure who was helming but one of the time share boats was coming out of Gt. Yarmouth with its nav lights on at around 11 am so I hope he heard my shout Boycee

Sorry Poppy dont agree with you & neither it appears do the Hibs Chairman or manager in their latest tv interviews where they accept responsibility for certain of their fans actions Boycee

Congratulations Neil on your teams great win over Rangers but it has to be said that the behaviour of your fans after the final whistle has done your club no favours at all. Shades of England v Scotland in the 70S come to mind and sadly your club will no doubt face the consequences which detracts from a great game Boycee

David that is a different Braveheart which is owned by a guy called John who is a member of the NBF. He is actually on his way to his new mooring which I believe is at Swancraft Brundall having just vacated his mooring opposite to where we moor at Sutton Staithe.Alex & Lorna do as you rightly say own the other Braveheart which moors at Ludham Bridge. Thanks for a great blog BOYCEE -
According to Robert at Sutton Staithe Boatyard the edition of Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners which is being shown on Tuesday 12TH April at 8pm on channel 4 is well worth a watch. It shows a boat called Pelican which travels round the northern rivers being given a total inside clean by the program-not for the faint hearted according to Robert. Enjoy! Boycee

Just to let you all know that The Sutton Staithe Hotel has changed hands and is now being run by Mark & Graham Pressman of Pressman Leisure Ltd. According to Rod Owen there is a sign confirming this with a message welcoming all customers old and new to visit when they can.I am unsure if the hotel has been purchased or rented but the former appears to be favourite. Damion has gone to pastures new in Gods country(should please Griff) where he will be managing a number of pubs & nightclubs for the guy who owns them- based in Selby I do believe. Understand from Rod that the new management want to retain all the current staff which is good news for both them and us as IMHO they are all hard working and efficient. D'ont know any more yet but will be down in 3 or 4 weeks when I will know more Boycee

What a great film and so well made.I,m sure Robin would be proud of it. The boat an Alpha 35 called Swan Raider is now in private ownership and has been renamed Base Camp.It was out of the water at our mooring Sutton Staithe Boatyard having some work done on it during the latter part of last year Boycee

Carol thank you for another great look into the past, can't wait for the next one Boycee -
Great viewing Carol-just 2 years before my first visit to the Broads-brings back lots of memories particularly of Coltishall where we hired our first boat Broadwave from Clifford E Allen and its still running after a major refit Boycee

Alan, the ferry is serviced at the same place annually at one of the yards on the seaward side of Mutford Lock, and is usually out of service for I believe around 4 weeks with the appropriate signage placed on all Ferry approach roads courtesy of the AA Boycee
