Liberty
Caught this today. Is it a carp? Not a good picture, but the only one I have in case it wriggled!
Poppy
No - it's a bronze bream. Quite common on the Broads.
Gracie
Caught a few of them on the Broads myself, nice fish, well done Whereabouts are you fishing if you don't mind me asking? Grace
Liberty
A bronze bream - thank you. Never heard of them! Womack Water this afternoon. Seemed to fight a lot harder than a silver bream, and the big scales had me fooled! Biggest thing I've ever hauled out of the Broads (other than shopping trolleys near Yarmouth).

I do hope you returned the £1.00p coin from it! Iain

I think that what you're calling silver bream are actually young Bronze Bream. Silver Bream are pretty rare, all small Bronzies are silver and don't darken up till they've got a couple of pounds on or thereaboutst. Nice fish !! well done.
JennyMorgan
If you want more bream then head towards the River Waveney, they are being very obliging right now!
Wildfuzz
Hickling has some good sized ones, or did last time I got out, simple feeder rig with lots of ground bait in your swim, they feed better at low light / night. Worms for the big guns, maggots for the rest (Red seems favorite).
Wildfuzz
There was a recipe for them recently from John BAILEY. Wash the Bream and place in a cardboard container, slow cook for two hours then throw the Bream and eat the cardboard!!!!!!!
JennyMorgan
Whilst I do use a feeder in the river I find that a float works a treat on my local broad. At the moment am having success by fishing the margins and shallows. Agreed that 'reds' are favourite, bread is good too.
