The BA Must Put Its House In Order

Whilst the present indoctrination is in place this is a situation that is unlikely to change. We had the Authority's communication officer state on another forum yesterday that the Broads is not legally a national park, which we know to be a fact, this morning ALL his postings have been deleted.

Sounds like basically if you want to stay here " Do as you are told, say what you are told to say and don't disagree with anything"

Another way of putting it is " You are not allowed a brain of your own so that you will not be able to have your own opinion of anything"

Thought Hitler was dead!

So whats new - both private and public sector employees are frequently bound by this restriction and in my past, even in the private sector, such clauses in contracts are not at all unusual. This has all been aired time and time again - anything new or different here??? In some of the biggest Corporations you talk to the Press unofficially and the security guard appears next to your desk with a box!!

You miss the entire point - again! - which is that the Authority Members  are  the employers, whilst the officers and the CEO are the employees! I guess you knew that though.....

You can say the same about Theresa May then - bet you would get nowhere arguing the toss with her either!!!!

Teresa May is:

  1. Elected
  2. Held accountable in the public eye (media)
  3. Held accountable in cabinet by other elected individuals
  4. Will face a general election in future

While that is not as democratic as most of us would prefer it does still put her in a position where she does or will account for her actions to the public. She knows this to be the case and acts accordingly. Quangos obviously have no such concerns either now or in the future of being held accountable for their activities.

There is now the clear stench of corruption around the BA where they regularly silence or eject members who have exercised any form of 'off message' free speech no matter how fair minded or sensible. The BA is not a company it is a body charged with acting in the public interest. Yet it is not interested in engaging with public opinions or interests. Instead it clearly acts against their open discussion. Taxation without representation always leads to tyranny, some small, some large but always corrupt.
