Waveney Pub Oulton Broad

Just to put the record straight I was with Dave Moss last night in The Commodore and he told me that although he had heard the rumors re taking on the Waveney, he never was and never would be interested in buying a business so close to one he already owns so the email sent by the tenants of the Waveney is totally incorrect. The pub is now closed and I guess that the owners are now on the lookout for new tennants. We did however have an excellent meal in The Commodore as per usual

Dave is a very old friend of ours from RNSYC days and we shall visit him again in November/December.

Interesting, during our annual Lads Week we tried to spend an evening here - very much deserted save for a couple of locals, we asked if dogs were allowed - no they were not. As we were leaving, a local chap outside stopped us feeling it was this rather odd and a shame to turn away 18 men who would be all drinking and popped back in to see if he might be able to help - alas the answer was still no.

We left for the Lady of the Lake where we were welcomed, and I learnt how to play Domino's' - not bad that a few days later I found myself in the doubles final. 

The only problem we had was the lack of young women in short skirts that had filled the place back in the summer when we were there...

I don't know the truth about the present demise of the Waveney but with Christmas & New Year just around the corner then I think it a pity that the tenants were not allowed to reap the benefits. Great shame if Oulton Broad is to loose a boozer.

Brrrr, a seasonal thing, it's now very cold at sea-level!

I agree I don't understand  this year they put in new loos and kitchen  new menus.From all be a outsider  all appeared to be going Well.I to hope it stays as a pub
