Hi all, we have booked Silent Emblem from Horning Ferry Marina at the beginning of August. Has anyone previously hired this boat? We would be interested to hear any feedback and see any pictures please.

Thanks in advance, Paul & Jenny

Sorry you've had no response to your question, I haven't hired her so can't help sorry

She looks a fine boat for two, hope you have a lovely time on her

Isn’t she fairly new? Maybe that’s the reason for the lack of responses. I thought I’d seen some comments last year about Silent Emblem, but either I’m imagining things (a search only brings up this thread) or it was on another forum or Trip Advisor or similar.

I have only good things to say about Ferry Marina. Very friendly, professional and I thought the two boats we’ve hired very comfortable and well maintained...and they were both older boats.

Hi Helen

Yes she was new in 2017 I believe

Thank you Helen, I believe it was launched last summer. The website still shows Zircon as the pics and layout. Ferry Marina have posted some pics on Facebook before booking, but I saw a different picture of the sundeck layout, not sure which is correct.

I think they may have been building a second one possibly slightly different to the first. I’m sure someone did write about this boat last year so maybe check the holiday tales forum.

Personally I love that Ferry Marina are building new boats for couples. They’re a great yard to hire from and I really hope that we can afford to take one of their new builds in the next two or three years. I think it will be worth waiting for!

I think it's called Tranquil Emblem and has two bedrooms Jean. I will look in the holiday tales forum, thanks for the tip.

Ah ... I think I may be getting it confused with Whisper Emblem because it's described as their second eco friendly electric boat. I'll be very interested to hear how you get on when the time comes.

I have not hired Silent Emblem, but have had a look round her.... I would imagine she will be great for two! She is based on a different hull  / mould to Whisper so is a little different inside.

I have been hiring from Ferry since 2011 and I go back at least once a year, so hopefully that tells you they are a great yard and really friendly and helpful!

Thanks NonTecky sounds like a quality yard, that's reassuring. It's my 60th birthday and our 20th anniversary, so I hope it's as good as it sounds. Drinks up on the sundeck with guests in the evening, weather permitting.
