Mobile Signal In Horning

It’s not just the phone signal Horning residents are suffering. We have been without electricity for the last 15 hrs.

Good job it's summer, but what happened?

At the end of last week I spotted a new mast at Horning I had not noticed before. Passing today I stopped to get a better look. Is it a new cell phone mast for the area ?

Located near to Grove Farm on Norwich Road / Upper Street Horning A1062

Photos are captures from a dash cam. First one shows Grove Farm on the right. Road to the left goes to Horning. Mast is level with the trees on the right hand side.Second one shows more of the mast closer.

My understanding is that that is the new mast. Note that Kate could do the Friday quiz moored on the Ant. Not sure if everyone in Horning is happy yet?

I was told, but can't remember who by, that it is a temporary mast. But it looks pretty 'full-on' and established.

It could be a temporary site - If you've seen the ones that they deploy at Festivals and major events, they are quite substantial bits of kit.

Here's the old mast being lifted off, it's become 3 pieces, two are now lying on their side on the ground the bottom section is still in place.

Oh and some friends inside the grounds.

We have mobiles on EE and O2, I will report back on how well (or not) the new mast is performing when we get to the boat at the end of the month.......unless someone beats me to it......
